This is pretty much what it is.

I believe the official wording is, ‘to share baseball management skills, training programs and scouting reports’

That's still really awesome though. One of my bucket list things is to go see a game in Japan. And now that the KBO has become more prominent, I'd like to go see one there too.

Schwarber is shrinking at an astronomical rate.

Twins are missing an opportunity if they don't secure more pitching. Now it's hard to really trust Lynn and Cobb to deliver #3 quality pitching, as they are likely priced, not to mention Arrieta, who seems to be priced as a top of the rotation Ace.
They were WC last year, Indians didn't seem to improve, and there are at least 2 bad teams in the division - probably 3.

Rays are close to a new tv deal which would give them $82 mil per for 15 years. Currently they get about 20 mil or so in local tv iirc

They could potentially have another great young core.

I didn’t realize Rays drew such strong TV ratings.

Interesting to see the Twins sign Logan Morrison to a one year deal.

He adds some legitimate pop into a lineup that didn't get much from the DH role last year.

Sources: Tim Lincecum is deep into talks with the Texas Rangers on a one-year major league deal, and the expectation is it gets done soon. One possible plan for Lincecum: pitch out of the bullpen. And with the Rangers' closer job wide open, he's got a good shot at securing it.

Spring Training bump.

Tonight's news:

Ichiro is going back to Seattle

Nats first round pick and noted idiot Seth Romero has already been sent home from camp. No one is surprised.

The 24-year-old DeJong homered on the first swing of his first Major League at-bat last May, then spent the summer slugging his way into the Cardinals' record books. DeJong hit 25 home runs, the most ever for a St. Louis rookie shortstop, while ranking among the National League's top rookies in doubles (26), slugging percentage (.532), total bases (222), RBIs (65) and runs (55).

In all, DeJong hit .285/.325/.532 over 108 games. He finished second in NL Rookie of the Year voting to Cody Bellinger of the Dodgers.

They love to extend guys off of 1 season, then play cheap on UFA market.

Mo and Girsch are terrible. Lowered Salary, and team still has needs in Pen, another top of end starter, and a closer.

If their shite plan works, they look like geniuses, and continue to play low hangin fruit bullshite. If it blows up, which many in fan base think will happen, finally the media will jump in and take mo and BDW to task for being cheap.

Revenue monster
new 100 mil per tv deal
Lower salary by almost 10mil
missed playoffs 2 straight

They love to play that midmarket angle.
