Still hoping Yu goes to Minnesota to give Cleveland even a little competition over the next few years in the central

If Minnesota doesn’t take the next step and add some legit pitching, Cleveland is gonna own that division until the White Sox young guys come up

KC and Detroit are in for some dark times the next few seasons...at least that’s what it looks like right now. Obviously unforeseen things can happen

I'd like to see the Twins and Brewers add some pitching.... I wouldn't mind a team like the Rangers add some pitching as well since I don't think they're far off from being in contention.

more encouraged to give that 5th year

I think he has an offer for 5 years and is wanting a 6th. That’s very expensive.

Brewers and Rays discussing trade for Archer per MLB network. This does not make me happy.

I would think a trade will happen as long as the asking price is within reason. Just speculating, this probably means they are no longer in the running for Yu.

Tony Clark on this years Free Agents
quote:

“For decades free agency has been the cornerstone of baseball’s economic system & has benefited Players and the game alike,” Clark said. “Each time it has been attacked, Players, their representatives & the Association have united to defend it. That will never change.”

Clark is a joke

The players are bitching but nobody is talking about the offers that are being turned down.

All teams are using analytics and understanding typical player decline in their 30's when approaching free agents.

Players and agents are upset that they are losing money because the front offices - especially the big market teams who have realized how dumb it is to pay the huge luxury tax - are simply smarter now.

If the union feels they are getting shortchanged in overall revenue received, they either need to strike soon or take the hard line at the next CBA negotiation.

2 years only 17M..I like it, it shores up third base and means they are finally moving on from David Wright, as much as it sucks. Now they need to go get a SP to shore up the staff and I will call this a good off season.

Frazier is from Jersey so he probably took a little of a discount to be able to stay home. Good deal for the Mets.

No way he takes a discount, if signed I wouldn't want him for more than two years.

If you don't count MLBAM.BAM tech related revenue then players apparently get ~50% of the share and tbh not sure players can really say they are entitled to that money since its not really baseball related like tickets, merch, tv deals, etc
