That’s why roofs should be mandated open unless it’s too hot or too cold or precipitating.

This is an injustice. And I'm a Cubs fan that just got crushed by these Padres.

Idk how statcast work but it was a 49 degree LA and they have it a 1/30.

Ridiculous ending whenever they have the roof open so often

It's a simple math problem. Some nerd is going to calculate exactly how far that ball was going to go to the foot.

Baseball savant had it 105 off the bat and only 315ft? It had a crazy 49 launch angle.

So assuming it's correct it would not have been a homer? Unless that actually recorded tracked distance?

I'm not 100% sure. I thought savant was projected distance

For reference the highest LA Homer ever recorded was 49.7 which went 327ft.

So it probably checks out.

Left field is about 344ft, so probably would have been short

So now an upperdecker home run is an out?

I guess the MVP of tonight’s game is the architect.

We know for a fact that it went over 315. It went around 330-335.

MLB makes the call. It gets closed in Milwaukee if it’s going to get below 63 or 65. Somewhere in that neighborhood. It’s currently 57 in Milwaukee and there have been rain showers through the area for the past hour or two. If this would’ve been a day game that roof would’ve been open. Very nice early fall day here.

Yep statcast was showing actual distance now at 325.

This is BS.

It landed on the warning track and was deflected down.

There’s no way it doesn’t get out.
