The Bengals have not been completely hamstrung as it relates to the salary cap in the last few years. They just have a terrible front office. The same front office drug their feet with Chase’s extension and cost themselves money by not getting it done after year 3 instead of year.

And yet he decided to stay with the organization that is constantly referred to as a shitshow, unserious, and cheap. He’s not without blame.

Best thing for Burrow is to suffer a broken finger in his throwing hand, each year for the remainder of his contract.

You should be evaluating Tua for injuries — a quarterback you know.

As of right now, Joe Burrow has never played a game at U.S. Bank Stadium.

While Burrow is 1-0 against the Minnesota Vikings in his career, that victory happened at Paycor Stadium (then Paul Brown Stadium) in Cincinnati back in 2021.

The Bengals finally had a road game scheduled in Minnesota this past season (September 21, 2025), but Burrow was unfortunately sidelined after having toe surgery. Without him, the Bengals suffered a heckin' brutal 48-10 loss—the worst in franchise history—with Jake Browning under centre.

Burrow pushing so hard for Higgins to get that extension was foolish. They had needs at just about every position other than receiver and running back.

One of the big problems in Cincy is their shitty scouting department and last 4 drafts. Last years draft was terrible. It’s been terrible since 2022. The Bengals have 6 full time scouts. Average in the league is 15.

Is Burrow now a Temu Darnold?

Remember how many times Darnold was the media darling USC QB Heisman favorite?

Joe actually won one

Cincy's SB and ACFCG run so early in Burrow's career almost created a false sense of security that he could expect to be there each year

The Bengals weren’t giving Higgins an extension until Burrow stepped in and told them to.

You can't really believe this, right?

Maybe they gave him slightly more money, but they were not just going to let him walk with no consideration of resigning him.

Also, what is he supposed to do? Tell the world he wants his receiver off the team?

And why do people act like there are 50 primo players just waiting out there to be scooped up. Even with infinite money, it's hard to find and assemble great players.

Injuries are freak. Joe Burrow is still quite early in his career. All of this will look silly when he's 35 and has an even better resume.

The main problem I see is the dumbass coach.

You can’t believe what you just typed right?

For better or worse the top QBs have a ton of say in personnel decisions. Joe wanted Higgins and made it known. If he wanted to stay impartial look how Mahomes handled Hill and Allen handled diggs

One impact of the ever rising cap is how shallow the FA pool is. You aren’t going to find a Tee Higgins in FA bc everyone has the cash and cap to keep their own studs with few exceptions. Bengals are in the spot they are in mainly due to poor drafting, not roster cap allocation

Hill is a piece of shite off the field and a bad teammate and so is Diggs.

Probably hard for Burrow not to support Tee as he came in the league with him, he's a great WR, and an even better human.

Tee is also one of the few draft picks the Org has hit on. What message does it send if that guy doesn't get paid after doing everything right?
