Why didn’t Marvin post a screenshot of the text? If you’re going to point the twitter mod in your head coach’s direction, post the insensitive text.

I can only assume it was perfectly in line and a fine way to start a conversation with someone rational enough to have one.

When did Marvin say the text was insensitive?

Why are FSU fans trying to blame the reporter? Not necessarily in this thread, but I’m seeing it on other forums and on Twitter.

Quite a few fans haven't liked Reed long before this

Sounds like they talked it out, but this stuff is just getting started. No telling how many programs will go through some racial controversy over the next few months

Where did Norvell not reach out to each individual player?

If a player decided not to reply and hold a conversation then that’s on them. Marvin is arguing semantics at best and blowing shite up on Twitter is ridiculous.

For as big a recruit as Marvin Wilson was, how many coaches that were after him are breathing a sigh of relief that he's someone else's problem now?

I mean the quote didn't say reached out to, it said went back and forth with.

And you were acting as if Marvin accused the text of being insensitive, which he did not do as far as I am aware.

You had just said something I thought was a bit dishonest and wanted clarity. You responded with a question and a statement that had nothing to do with my question

Maybe the dumbest decision any player has ever made.

This is all so frickign stupid

"Team, this is coach. Whoever needs to talk im here. Door is open for anyone and everyone"

Sends that to every player

And then every player who wants to has a back and forth. If Marvin Chiken Sauce Wilson cant figure out he was reached out to, and he failed to reciprocate, he is an idiot

Which is fine, alot of these players are idiots. But how people are siding with Marvin is hilarious

If you send out a mass text to a group do you consider that going back and forth with each person individually?

Because he didn't say he reached out to everyone. He said, "I went back and forth individually with every player this weekend"

If he had just said "i reached out to all my players this weekend" he'd be fine. But he exaggerated his efforts

I understand how these young guys could have felt slighted in the current climate, especially since it does seem like Norvell did the bare minimum and embellished to make himself look better. But Wilson, being one of the older and more experienced players on the team, displayed absolutely terrible leadership by throwing his head coach under the bus instead of discussing it internally first like adults. This is one of those "teachable" moments where they could have educated Norvell instead of putting him on blast on social media and trying to divide the team.

This explains why FSU has fallen the way it has if this is the type of leadership in the locker room.

I don't think he even did that. I think what he meant was he went back and forth with every player who responded to the text. Not the greatest choice of words but it wasn't a big deal except for Marvin throwing it up on Twitter and the media predictably doing everything they can to blow it up

The meeting was held, it appears everything has been made right, players are taking vids showing them at the workouts, and several players including Tamorrion Terry who is the biggest offensive star and retweeted Marvin's tweet last night said everything is good

Absolutely agree. Obviously Jimbo left in a bad way, and Willie is the worst football coach I've ever seen at any level, but this has been on the players and the toxic environment they have created for years now.

Anybody watch A Season With...FSU on Showtime back in 2016? Even then Jimbo had the players sign some sort of "promise agreement" saying they would actually pay attention and give full effort. The culture has been fricked for years now and as good of a player as Marvin Wilson is it's this crap that I'm ready to see move on

Personally I believe he was doing a little virtue signaling trying to make himself look better and it backfired. If they hashed everything out and it's all good now then good on them.

Marvin Wilson signed in 2017. The previous 4 years FSU went 47-7 including an NC. These kind of statements are retarded

Why would you dime out your coach like that? What's the point?

Why is it hard for Arkansas to be at the bottom of the SEC in football the last 2 years? This year might get them out of the basement. The point is crappy things happens. People are not perfect. Same for Arkansas football program! Got to accept this happened to FSU. Same could be said about Arkansas for bad hiring of football HCs.
