Not when he has to spend 40 minutes a night guarding someone on the other end of the court one on one as well. Not when they don’t call ticky tacky light contact as fouls. Not when you actually had to dribble and couldn’t carry 3-4 steps. Not when you were allowed to hand check ball handlers. LeBron is by far the most privileged, spoiled, and catered to athlete in North American sports history and there is no one that is a remotely close second.

Also, 6 titles and probably would have been 8 or 9 if he doesn’t “retire”.
People still believe this idiotic take?
94 - yes, they almost made the finals with Pete freaking Myers.
95 - NO…Jordan…uh…was on the team
If Jordan stays in 94 and doesn’t retire, Pippin most likely walks in 95/96 due to salary/contractual issues, Jordan leaving At the end of 93 cleared the way for the Bulls build the 96 super team (and yes, it was a super team. Anyone that believes otherwise is an idiot).
So, at best 4, if he doesn't retire. and where are you getting the ninth championship? Are you just pulling a season out of your butt hole?
The end.

Naw I read a thread about once a week on here about Jordan and it's always the same handful of goobers piling in every one of them. Enjoy Taco Tuesday and barber talk shop mastermind Lebron.

Get film of around 15 home games that year go through them and maybe work up a companion video to show your work.
It should be easy to prove. They can start with 5 games. Watch them and count them compare it to the official count. If there is a big discrepancy on those 5 then you might have something.
But it’s much easier to put out an article with no research and have a headline that grabs attention. Then your entire article is filled with “might” and “maybes.”

They even admit it was likely happening everywhere. They can’t just say Jordan’s stats are inflated when a lot of other players stats were too

NBA, Nike, and ESPN all needed MJ to be great.
They all took steps to get him there.

Yep. And if home stat keepers are changing the numbers for the home team then what was stopping them from changing them negatively for the visiting team? They could easily skew the numbers the other way so it doesn’t look like Jordan did as well against them on the road.

The NBA is 100% fraudulent. the rest is meaningless

It’s likely moot anyway. I don’t think the voters in 88 were stat nerds that were voting based on box scores
If they did your experiment, I’d think Alvin Robertson might be the best to pick. I was surprised he wasn’t first team all defense that year. It’s difficult to compare Jordan to MCCray and Oljuwan on the stats in question
The biggest inflated stat from that era always seemed to be assists. A pass would go to a player in ISO and if that player scored, the scorekeeper would award an assist ( regardless of the amount of offensive moves the player made).
I do think a lot of score keepers awarded steals on deflections, but I expect that was league wide. People didn’t seem to really care until fantasy sports as there could be money involved.

Someone did this a few years ago on point guards, and every one of then averaged more assists per game at home.
Every damn one.
Every damn one.

Well he's got 9 first team all defense selections does anybody think he's not a great defender now?
Maybe if he didn't have 10 scoring titles too along with two 3 peats this would be something for Lebron fans to stand on but it's really not close. MJ dominated in a way Lebron could only dream.

Went to nba sub Reddit on the topic and all the people actually pissed about this are huge Bronstans
Don’t go there much but actually surprised a lot of them seem to actually hate Jordan. Not even a “I think he’s overrated”. Guess it makes sense given the age of Reddit

I want nothing to do with this argument. All I want to say no help defense was an absolute joke and a physical player that could handle the ball would dominate with it
Lol this statement alone tells me you nothing about sports beyond the last 10 or so years.
Wait… aren’t you the guy who said that NFL players were drinking Coke or Pepsi in the locker rooms in the 70s and 80s to get energy even though teams started having Gatorade readily available in the 60s? Yeah no one should take you seriously at all. Especially after you let a guy named Butker give you Sore arse Syndrome.
