You just countered your own argument dipshit. Yeah Jordan was so catered to that the NBA forced him out for nearly 2 seasons.

I swear half of y’all need helmets on your heads just to tie your shoes.

You mean the same ESPN that only had NBA media rights for 2 seasons of Jordan’s career (83-84 and 02-03)?

It's well known Carmelo should have won that ROTY that went LeBron.

Also Lebron played with a long list of all stars compared to MJ. Many of them on that top 75 list.

aren’t you the guy who said that NFL players were drinking Coke or Pepsi in the locker rooms in the 70s and 80s to get energy even though teams started having Gatorade readily available in the 60s?
I mean they absolutely were. Coke was a regular in nfl locker rooms at halftime all the way into the early 90s. Same with college lockerooms

LSU football would give a little beer mixed with salt to players as well in the early 90s.

My dude… do you really believe the “Coke” in NFL locker rooms in the 70s and 80s and into the early 90s was Coca-Cola. That was cocaine you dumbass.

I’m sure players have had beer and other alcoholic beverages in their locker rooms before and after their games for decades and still do. You’re a complete dumbass if you believe it’s for energy purposes. Besides, soda would have given them quick sugar highs and not energy anyways.

So how are you going to triple then quadruple down on your ignorance from here or are you finally going to admit you were wrong and walk before embarrassing yourself further?

Both

McDonald’s and Coca Cola was COMMON and mainstream in all locker rooms then

That isn’t my opinion, that’s from the players themselves

Go listen to Todd Bowles interview about the nutrition when he played. To call one ignorant when being ignorant enough to do no research on your own is something else

Lol I want to see you try to link up proof of this. This is going to be hilarious.

ETA: And please explain why athletes in the 70s through early 90s would use “Coca-Cola” to get energy when they had gallons of Gatorade in their locker rooms, on the sidelines, and in dugouts.

You mean the interview in which he says he would eat McDonald’s in his personal life? Because that’s TOTALLY the same as eating it during halftime to replenish his energy.

You know how many current athletes eat McDonald’s (or equivalent) all the time in their personal lives? Hundreds of them and that’s just the professional ones. In the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, Usain Bolt was downing 50-60 McNuggets a day from the McDonalds in the Olympic village and he was far from the only athlete eating there and other “junk food” during that time.

But please go on about how Michael Jordan wouldn’t be able to compete today because he occasionally enjoyed a Big Mac and a Coca Cola in the offseason but Zion Williamson can put up 25-8-5 while being a lazy walrus.

I’ll keep it just to MJ for you
quote:

Charles Oakley, who was teammates with Jordan in Chicago from 1985-88, revealed on the "All the Smoke" podcast that the Bulls legend ate McDonald's every morning when they played together. "We ate a lot of McDonald's back then," Oakley said. "MJ ate McDonald's for every morning for breakfast. Every morning, he ate McDonald's ... and before games, he'd eat a steak before every game."

quote:

Jordan, whom Chicago drafted in 1984:

Ten years ago, you’d see half the brothers drinking a case. At halftime! When I first joined the team, they was drinking beer at half and smoking cigarettes. And you know what? See, they were getting the cigarettes from the coaches.

Want some more?or is beer and cigarettes during games at halftime enough for you while having McDonald’s for breakfast before the game?

And now here’s the reality and not just hyperbole/tall tales:
quote:

Diet and fitness weren’t as big as today compared to the 80s and 90s. Michael Jordan used to binge-eat McDonald’s, specifically sausage McMuffin, before practices. So while MJ would burn every calorie from his pre-practice meal because of how hard he worked in the gym, he didn’t set an example for his teammates

quote:

Mike hired Tim Grover to help him get in the best shape possible. The personal trainer restructured Jordan’s diet to five to six small meals per day. Other NBA players also loved

Surely Usain Bolt, widely considered to be the best track runner of all time and noted McNuggets feaster, would be the only modern athlete to enjoy fast food right???

Anthony Edwards loved fried chicken (specifically Popeye’s) so much he even did an Uber Eats order right to the court: 1

Here are more athletes who love fast food: But clearly, they are SOOOOO much better than the athletes of yore.

Find me proof of Jordan drinking beer and smoking cigarettes during halftime of the games and you may have a point.

Find real proof of athletes in the 80s drinking Coca Cola to get energy.

Btw, what do you have to say about Usain Bolt’s McNuggets diet for the Olympics?

I literally posted a direct fricking quote from MJ talking about players drinking and smoking at half time

And of course some players still treat their bodies like sht. But sports nutrition now compared to 40 years ago is WILDLY different

Tom Brady and Randy Miss were both smokers.

Since they smoked they obviously weren’t great athletes according to you.

If NBA athletes today are so much more superior to their counterparts that played in the 80s and 90s then why do they need so much load management despite a less intense schedule?

Let’s be honest, the root of this issue is the fact that you can’t accept that you are wrong and that you missed out on seeing the greatest basketball player who has ever lived. Rather than educate yourself and watch some of his games and learn from those who clearly know better and more than you you act like a spoiled brat and dispute what is obvious to everyone around you.

No wonder you like LeBron so much, you both have a diva personality and can’t work on your flaws because you won’t accept that you have any.

What the frick are you talking about?

Why do you think the average nfl lineman is 50 pounds heavier today while also being faster?

I literally grew up with MJ and he is the best basketball player of all time. I have no clue what you are rambling on about

You sound like an old man arguing with a ghost

compared to the 1980s

Avarage offensive lineman was 272 lbs. it’s 313 pounds now. 41 pound difference. Do you think nutrition and training play a part in that?

What about their heights? How are their bench press numbers? (I already know the answer, you won’t like it).

Do you even remember what your original point was or are you just rambling just to ramble about nonsense now?
