I broke my hip when I was close to his age (not from hot-dogging after a dunk) and I was able to walk, albeit gingerly, seven weeks later.

However, I never dunked a basketball again (or before the accident)

I don’t think he was showboating. I think he hung on the rim because he wanted to make sure he wasn’t going to land on someone.

Ironically, the refs let these morons hang on the rim now, under the impression that its lets them avoid landing on other players.

Im glad this happened, because it will make the ncaa take a harder approach to letting this stupid shite take place.

I do have empathy for the kid though, he was just having fun, but showing off

The timing of the announcer, "Driving in with the Payne!!!", as the player falls down screaming in pain.

Its dang near perfect comedic timing.
