Nike was doing the same thing Adidas was doing.
It isn't about whether it was happening. It's about whether it can be proven, and having a guy like Avenatti making the case...well, that is not exactly helping this new allegation be credible.

The only reason why any of this Adidas stuff known is because of a Ponzi scheme in Pittsburgh by a guy who used to be a financial advisor to football players. He actually had zero basketball connections at the time of his initial arrest and made a deal to try to find as many basketball figures as possible to drastically lower his sentence.
It just so happened that the people he got in touch with were primarily Adidas people.
Avenatti is an incredible self-promoter. He is closer to James O’Keefe at this point with his number of duds.
