So Brady became the GOAT due to his surrounding talent?

He is the new Prototype of an NL QB

he had like 70 more TDs and 7000 more yard through 7 seasons than Brady.

Bruh

Thats game manager numbers

And yeah Moss bumped his numbers up a lot along with Welker. Two HOF receivers at once in their primes will do that

But, again, Brady’s production went down in the playoffs and the patriots had a weaker defense that year so Brady lost.

If Brady has Brees’ defenses, he would have zero super bowls

Overall from start to finish in those years - Brady wasn't carrying the team. NE was lights on both sides of the line and on defense. He really wasn't that great.

He finished third in NFL MVP voting in 2003.

Can we apply this logic to LeBron over MJ then? 3 different teams. 3 different coaches.

New prototype would be scared to run in harder hitting defense eras. Pretty easy to want to scramble when you get a 50% chance to get an extra 15

Umm… no. I’ll take Aikman, Elway, Young over Manning any day

Alex Smith did well in MVP voting too. Are you trying to make my point for me?

This one is easy as of right now

Mahomes has played the position of QB better than any QB ever. It's really not close or needs to be debate, he's decidedly ahead of whoever is 2nd.

But...

He does still have work to do on GOAT status just die to longevity. Mahomes is without question a better QB than Brady but anyone, again logically, would take 22 or however many years of Brady over 6 or however many years of Mahomes.

Mahomes doesn't need to do it for 22 years, but he does need to do it more than 6 years, and I see no reason why he won't.

They were then too. Are we pretending Manning didn't throw 49 touchdowns around that time now?

He received 8 of 50 votes and they were all Northeast voters. He threw 127 more passes than Steve McNair that season and had one LESS td pass. Manning only threw 39 more passes and had 6 more tds, 647 more yards, and 2 LESS ints.

Brady was Alex Smith before he got Moss, Welker, and Gronk.

Did Alex Smith go on to win three NFL MVPs, seven Super Bowls, and retire #1 in just about every major statistical category?

Alex Smith was picked #1; Brady was picked #199. Also...Brady had three Super Bowl championships and two Super Bowl MVPs before he got Moss. Also...he never won a Super Bowl with Moss.

You're moving the goal posts

We are specifically saying that without Moss/Welker during the same time frame Mahomes has played, Brady was a game manager whereas Mahomes is the offense.
