First 3 seasons with the Chiefs Smith had a decent D, even last year when the Chiefs D starting really sucking they still finished 15th in points allowed, this year the Chiefs D is only surpassed by the Bungles for worst D in the NFL.

Last years Chiefs Team was different. The D was better for one. The OL was better. The schedule was easier. Hunt has been out for 4 games this year. If you think Mahomes is a system QB...bc that’s what I think you’re saying then you clearly haven’t seen him play. He has willed this team to be in position to win every game. Brees has managed games but has also relied on the D to win some games this year. Their schedules to me aren’t even comparable. Chiefs have faced tougher games on the road and yet Mahomes has thrown 30 TDS on the road! Brees 32 all season! Both are clearly deserving but you can’t sit here and say Alex Smith is comparable to Mahomes. Why would the Chiefs trade Alex Smith after winning the division? Mahomes clearly is a difference maker. I remember in week 2 or 3 all the experts were saying he would slow down. He has been steady all year! Doesn’t matter who is in the game. He continues to make plays

Not exactly a good comparison since years Brees put up similar numbers the Saints were 7-9.
As for the 4 most important games argument. This isn’t college football morons. If they win next week they will be the #1 seed

Chiefs had the best offense in the NFL with Hunt carrying the rock, even with that shite Chiefs D the offense was so good I was confident they could out score any team if they didn’t lose the turnover battle.

He finally has a QB! He’s had Alex Smith vs Brady, Manning, and Big Ben.
Plus he continues to lose his top coaches every season!! Do you realize that there are 7 present head coaches under his tree? Don’t give me this BS that Reid is a bad coach. He has had unfortunate breaks in the big game and it shows you how hard it is to win the Super Bowl. If he can’t get to the AFC championship or Super Bowl in the next 3 years with Mahomes then that will be a disappointment. He’s top 10 in all time wins. As a Chiefs fan I don’t want any other coach for Mahomes. They have the Brees/Payton marriage going for them. Just get a solid D and they are set

But yet he still has better stats than Brees in prime time games and 4 out of the 5 prime time games have been against playoff teams on the road.I am a saints fan but you people are delusional thinking that Brees has had a better year than Mahomes.
