Having no kicking game in a Div 3 school is ridiculous. They deserved to lose that game for basically eliminating the special teams aspect.

There needs to be some serious talks between the parents, coaches, & players from Mansfield.

They need to learn some sportsmanship and how to accept defeat with class.

So was the bogus PI call on Central the final drive under min left

But Central had their chances and couldn't capitalize ; credit Zachary playing a strong 3rd qtr

LCCP had a horrible kicking game. Couldn’t even attempt an extra point. Then tried to run the swinging gate play for the 2 point conversion and was flagged for illegal motion…game over.

If the kicking games wasn’t important they wouldn’t have named it football!

How could a team like LCCP as a #3 seed make it to the quarterfinals without the ability to kick FGs or extra points all season

Made the long trip to Iowa yesterday

Iowa ran the opening kick off back for a touchdown and Lutcher denied them the 2 point conversion. Thy squib kicked (the only way they kicked all game) to Lutcher, who also ran that for a touchdown. Lutcher lead 7-6 with less than 30 seconds of game play removed from the clock.

After that a pretty good football game ensued. Iowa would not allow Lutcher to run between the tackles so Lutcher compensated by running outside and with screens. Iowa backs were hard as hell to tackle. They rarely went down on first or even second contact.

Lutcher fought hard and took a 21-20 lead into halftime, after giving the ball up on downs in the red zone with 30 seconds left.

Lutcher would not score again. Iowa scored a TD and converted for two early in the 3rd quarter and a defensive stalemate would show the game out. Lutcher pushed into the red zone on their last possession with under a minute to go, but Iowa sealed victory with a pick in the end zone.

Because they made most of their two point conversions. Their leading rusher averaged 21 yards per carry. That’s not a typo. They had a great sleeper OL Myles Joseph lined up and ran it behind him all year.
