Mahomes and Watson just signed huge contracts. Wilson used to be the highest paid player in the NFL

The Cowboys didn’t sign Prescott because they felt he was a Kirk Cousins tier quarterback and Jones is an idiot, clearly they are wrong

Ravens about to frick their franchise with that contract

The Ravens are one of the most well run and responsible franchises in sports. They’ll figure out how to make it work.

They’re going to pay him for what he’s done in the aggregate and just hold their nose when they get into the playoffs.

And hope he’s not one injury away from becoming RGIII.

Yeah, because everyone on the MSB who is downvoting the hell out of you is a Bama fan.

In fact, it’s obvious that the only person on here who is using their college football allegiances to form their option on this topic is you

He’s been their starter for 2 and not even a half seasons and has taken them to the playoffs 3 times. Watson has been in the league 4 years and has only been twice. I do know that Lamar also hasn’t blown a 24 point lead in the playoffs either.

Let’s be honest, the only reason why y’all keep stanning for Watson is because he beat Bama in college. Dude’s overrated. He hasn’t won shite in the league. Hell y’all trash the Bears for picking Mitch over him yet Mitch has a better winning percentage than him despite being on a worse team in a harder division. Watson never will be a franchise guy. He’s Kirk Cousins/Jared Goff/Derek Carr but for some reason y’all want to SIMP for him.

I want to disagree agree with you.
But i just can’t

You’re always right my baw.

Lamar >>>>>>>> Watson and it isn’t even close

Hope you and the Mrs had a fun holidays baw

You think a 23 year old QB who has already won an NFL MVP isn't worth a record breaking contract, b/c he may never win a SB?

He can run because he’s young. But every year he gets a little slower, every hit takes a toll on him.

No one is building a franchise around Jackson’s arm. He had one good season that caught NFL defenses off guard. He’ll be done in 4-5 years.

Now do Watson in the playoffs... oh wait he’d actually have to make it there.

Lamar: 1-3, 3 Touchdowns, 5 Interceptions

Watson: 1-2, 5 touchdowns, 1 interception

should be paid more than Deshaun Watson.

Remind me: how many playoff wins did Watson have before the Texans gave him a 4 year $160 million extension this last September with a no trade clause. How many MVPs had he won? What QB related stats had he led the league in?

Football is a results oriented business. Lamar can rake in all those stats and individual accolades, but if he doesn’t play better when it matters most (the playoffs) he will continue to be criticized.

Btw, Lamar Jackson put up 4300 total yards in his MVP year. Deshaun Watson just put up 5200 total yards this year while completing a higher percentage of his passes.

Garbage time yards when your team is out of contention mean so much. Kirk Cousins had more yards and tds this year than Drew Brees. Is he the better QB? Derek Carr had a higher QB rating than Lamar, is he better than him? Fitzmagic had a better Qb rating than Big Ben, is he better than him? Trubisky had a higher QB rating than Matt Ryan, is he better?

Only casual fans look at the stats with no ability to contextualize them. Does anyone really believe that Watson is the third best QB in the league? Do you really believe he’s better than: Allen, Wilson, Dak, Brady, Tannehill?

Watson is the most overrated player in the league by this board. He’s 28-25 as a starter going 1-2 in the playoffs. In the 3 seasons before he was drafted, the Texans went 27-21 going 1-2 in the playoffs with Fitzmagic, Hoyer, and Osweiler at QB. So why do you want to crown his arse? Because he put up Diet Coke numbers when his team was out of contention? Hell Kirk Cousins does that every season but no one is crowning him and he has more than one playoff win to his name.

Why is this even an argument. Deshaun Watson is heads and tails better than Lamar Jackson. It's not even a debate.

Lamar Jackson is not better than Josh Allen or Russell Wilson. I don't dislike the guy but this is absurd.

Brady just threw for 40 touchdowns. He's better than Jackson.

So you think the Ravens are going to sign Lamar Jackson to a 8-10 year deal? Put your money where you’re mouth is and predict the length of his contract.

TRC is Lamar Jackson. Only explanation I got. Apparently winning the mvp is more important than winning championships.

Lamar scored 3 points in a playoff game, 3. And looked Bad doing it.
