Alabama supposed to have the 2nd most talented roster? I don’t buy it

No “alpha” receivers. Poor running game. No fearsome pass rushers.

They were ranked 9th in the country and I’d say they are probably 9th best in everything: from talent to coaching. Most teams are worse, but a handful are clearly better

Wouldn’t blame him

Get away from all those lunatic Ohio State fans
Agree. If your team isn’t from a wealthy state (like Florida, Indiana, Mississippi, Oregon) your football program is doomed and will never make the Semi-Finals

Bama is done for. The Tide ebbed

Only a cocksucking misery fan would see texas somewhere it isnt.....when I said recruiting grounds I wasn't inferring only texas....they went from a national brand to a regional, if not just local scrubs.

They went regional because they started losing too much. Easier to recruit nationally when you’re one of the few teams always on national TV and always winning and playing in big bowls

Nebraska voluntarily unhitched its wagon from fertile recruiting grounds.....this is always a stupid comparison/overreaction that usually comes out of midssouri fans mouths.

Nebraska was dominant before the Texas schools entered the Big12. Nebraska historic dominance was not a product of Texas kids

I have never understood a black person wanting to play at at Ole Miss...literally makes no sense in a world so upset by whitey and racism

In the end it’s just a mascot. Those things don’t have to be good people, ECU is the Pirates

I’m sure some of the fans can be weird about it, Ole Miss has some bad history with racism but so do most schools, especially southern ones. They got rid of the confederate flags for a reason, but at this point it just seems like a harmless mascot.

UNLV is the rebels too and nobody even mentions it. Ole Miss gets all the scrutiny
If he coached the playoff games, no asterisk

No monkey on his back, he’d be a championship winning coach. Ole Miss wouldn’t fire him even if he had a couple down years
Lard arse Mangino didn’t have the same success. Was a .500 coach and never won his division. Lucked into a great QB. Pinkel is currently in the Hall of Fame. Mangino won’t sniff it

However, Pinkel was not on the level of Cignetti. He is a big game coach with superior schemes and in game coaching

No. Indiana had the better team and Vegas believed that going in.

Players play, not history

I have never seen a team that cannot run the football at any level,

It’s not unheard of. Just shows Alabama isn’t what they used to be, they’re more ordinary now
If Ole Miss isn’t a good win, then Ohio State isn’t a good win either. Ohio State didn’t beat any good teams

He has insane energy, focus, and intensity
Heupel looks like he could eat every coach in the SEC
No

This isn’t the 2017 Tide team
Indiana is the only playoff bye team to lead going into halftime. Ever

This was the best chance to beat them. Indiana will use Alabama to “knock off the rust” and be even better next week

They are the #1 team for a reason
No need to go for it

It’s like coaches are allergic to kicking on 4th and short

Texas Tech went 12-1 and dominated a P4 conference

They are starting slow just like every single other team that’s had one of these byes in the playoffs

Oregon was number 1 last year and was down 34-8 at halftime. Starting to look like these byes are a hinderance more than an advantage
Now it’s 6-0 almost halftime
Something to keep an eye on…
