But it's the constant, non stop flopping from Shai that people hate. OKC fans for some reason don't seem to get that.

All teams flop. OKC seems to out flop all of them however.

This one was absurd.

Jokic, Embiid, Wemby? Sure.

A dude SGA’s size doesn’t need to be flailing about constantly to “avoid injury” unless he’s got someone like Dort using the dark arts on him every possession.

It’s intentional to avoid injury, not to draw a phantom foul. I guess you just don’t get it. It’s ok, not everyone is a big sports guy.

This is so dumb dude. Nobody is buying this lame cope you are selling.

People like this think they’re the good guys by the way.
I have no issue with someone going down with a 4 day slightly twisted ankle for sticking their ankles all over the place and under defenders on purpose to draw fouls.

Sue me.

We've always laughed at guys who do a dramatic flop here and there like Ginobili or LeBron. But, I have never seen anything like the foul-hunting and flailing of SGA since prime Harden. But, at least Harden seemed to more drive into the guy. Shai is just straight-up falling down and kicking after every shot. I was hoping the video in OP was AI.

He may have made a couple of those bricks if he wasn't falling down every shot

He used to roll his ankles A LOT earlier in his career. Softer to hit the deck vs landing on feet like he used to.

But everyone here has elite level basketball IQ and therefore won't buy it.

Look, it obviously leads to some fouls called for him, but it's not the sole intent. But don't let those narratives change!

He probably wouldn't roll his ankles if he stopped sticking both of his legs out trying to draw contact on every shot

Unless I missed something, it sounded like the refs only blew the whistle twice. I would say they "did something" by ignoring his bullshite

Even soccer sometimes gives yellow cards for embellishment. That would be a start. Penalize them.

It’s like a weird HORSE challenge. You have to shoot and then hit the ground before the ball reaches the goal

Are you suggesting they cut off his leg?

No, they could just adopt similar rules as the NCAA

quote:

NCAA Anti-Flopping Rules
To combat deception and encourage genuine play, the NCAA implemented strict anti-flopping rules.

Technical Foul Penalty: Any player who fakes being fouled or exaggerates contact can be assessed a Class B technical foul. This results in one free throw awarded to the opposing team.

No Warnings Required: Officials are instructed to call the technical foul immediately without prior warning if they clearly spot a fake.

Offensive Specifics: Common offensive flops include shooters kicking their legs out or throwing their bodies to the floor when a defender jumps by without making contact, or dribblers wildly jerking their heads back to simulate illegal hand checks.

Pretty sure that video had all of those things in it.

Refs let Spurs getting away with a lot last night. Could barely breathe on Wendy. When he rebounds half his body is tied up over the defenders back. No calls. They finally let Hart play defense and position himself in the third quarter and Wendy looked miffed.
