You don’t think it’s more likely that it just plain sucks and you are biased towards your own team?

The explanation is that OKC has the best record in the NBA for two straight years, they're the defending champs, and have a back to back MVP.

That's literally it. OKC fans are doing the same thing all fans do, and haters are doing the same thing all haters do. They're rooting for the underdog. It's not some new phenomenon.

How can you watch the clip below and your takeaway is that this guy sucks and OKC fans are crazy for defending him? Do your eyes work?

Basically every former NBA player interviewed post game 2 had no issues with anything.

I’m not sure what people expect. SGA is the most efficient mid game player in the game. So SAS is trying to literally hold him when he hits half court.

Wemby dropped a 40/20 in G1. OKC had to try something different.

I wish people would appreciate the chess match that is happening. It’s really fascinating to watch. These teams look much older/maturer than they are.

Convincing argument.

Did you notice how the game thread for Knicks/Cavs was 2 pages and the game thread for Spurs/Thunder is 13?

You think that's because OKC fans are being unreasonable? There's like 5 of us. Y'all are the ones bitching constantly and running those numbers up. You're rooting for our players to get injured, but we're the bad guys for rooting for our team.

It was more of a fatigue than anything else in GM2 btw.

SA did their job, they got 1...they weren't going to risk anything by "trying hard" in GM2... if they had a chance, sure they are going to try and win, but playing the 5'5 bald guy wasn't part of their normal rotation nor did they want it to be...

They control the series. They dictate the outcomes.

Spurs in 6.

I listened to Rob Perez and Antonio Daniels discuss this for about a half hour. Rob said the falling is no big deal as only two fouls were called out of the viral clip and this actually hurts Shai as he is not ready to get back on D. Daniels was pretty upset that it's hurting the discussion about otherwise good basketbal

Antonio Daniels is one of the smartest guys out there talking basketball. Pelicans fans don't deserve to have him as a call guy but man I hope he never leaves.

Outside of the Pels he loves OKC and Shai. For him to comment about it being a problem is saying something. He only sunshine pumps the Pels (to be expected, he works for them) and Shai. Normally won't ever catch him criticizing Shai but it is just too obvious to ignore.

I don’t think that’s unfair. Although the “5’5 bald guy” gave them 6 points in 7 mins played.

I think safe bets are either Spurs in 6 or Thunder in 7.

Really fascinated to watch these next 2 games.

I'm pulling for OKC. I was a Sonics fan as a kid and my family lived in OKC for a decade +. I went to numerous OKC playoff games including game 7's and it is still one of the best sporting events I've ever been to. If I had to pick a second team, it'd be OKC. I would do vile things to get J WIll on the Pelicans. The team is incredibly good and Shai is a great player.

ALL of that being said, very often Shai plays a very cheap, ugly, tiresome to watch basketball. The clip in the OP is a perfect example. And he's done it for the majority of his career.

So gtfo with your it's what all haters door just those who are pulling for the Spurs argument. I'm not either one of those.

He pushes the boundaries for sure.

But it is overblown in my opinion.

And I fully understand why it is overblown.

Really fascinated to watch the refs. FIFY...

The way they approached GM2 from not being as agressive in GM1 with their calls was very interesting. Again, both Spurs and Thunder both got calls in GM2 that at times was like wtf.

I'd rather just be able to watch a game and not see flops/whistles etc. Let them play.

I think what they will have though is a shining light on Hartenstein.

I could very much see this be a lopsided blowout tonight similar to what you saw with Cavs/Knicks last night and a really close tight GM4..

Hate to break it to you, but “junking up the game” is essentially saying that he played the role of 80’s white goon on the floor.

The Nerd Sesh guy thinks you guys are actually insane. That would explain a lot, like rooting for Dillon Brooks and Austin Reaves while calling OKC dirty floppers.
