Ok. Doesn't change the fact that Shai literally has a highlight reel of flopping from just one game.
If Wemby, Joker, LeBron, any of them flop they deserve to have a finger pointed at them and laughed at.
Shai is just building a career off of it. It's ugly basketball. OKC is a great team and Shai is a great player but he is hard to watch and games like last night make it hard for people to root for him.

But end of the day, I don’t care. No one was making these comments when SGA’s Thunder team was .500 in 2022.
Same way no one hated Mahomes in the beginning.

Yes they were, it just didn't get as much attention because they weren't as relevant. And he's gotten worse.

Technically, they've had a rule for giving technical for flopping for a while now. Starting in 23/24 they were supposed to crack down on it but they didn't. For the first month after they were cracking down on it the techs for flopping went up but died back down and you have very few called each year.

I’m old enough to remember people hating the Spurs:

You won't see me arguing that Wemby doesn't flop or that that won't be the worst flop of the entire playoffs. But it's the constant, non stop flopping from Shai that people hate. OKC fans for some reason don't seem to get that. Yes, Wemby flops, but you can't put an entire flopping highlight reel together off every game like you can with Shai.

Look at the play last night when Vickie dove at his legs. He gets his right foot parallel to the floor right before impact so it didn’t get rolled over. It’s another level of attention to detail that most people don’t recognize or understand.
