He did want to move up in Football only, they felt it would hurt the other sports if they all had to move up...that was well known.

Bull. shite.

"I have to think of all sports, not just football. My girls couldn't compete in 5A."

That was always the company line before moving up last year.

I love how Curtis gets shite on because people think they won all those titles and games playing a soft schedule.

Curtis gets shite on because they recruit, not because they play a soft schedule.

It's both. I don't care about recruiting--I think programs recruit themselves at some point. But they were huge count to never play 5A and they took away every kid's chance to really compete for a 4A state championship for 15 or so years. frick em. Evangel has always played in the highest classification they were allowed. I respect that. Curtis are cowardly count.

I'm sure Uncle Allen paid the tuition bill every year and on time.

This is all you need to know: "JT Curtis disputed, saying that Allen went to live in the home of assistant coach Jerry Godfrey because transportation from New Orleans East would not allow Allen to be on time for practice."

Not on time for class, for practice

:SimpsonsHAHA: @ Curtis and all their half-assed state championships.

Although, I am glad they kept those good Neville teams of the early 2000's from winning a couple more.

The best athlete I ever coached had a similar situation. His mom and dad split up when he was a sophomore. his mom moved away and he lived with his dad. His dad was a long haul truck driver and left him alone in the house with some cash for weeks at a time. One of the kids went to pick him up for practice during the XMAS holiday and the lights had been cut off in the house. The staff quietly reached out to the other team parents and found a host family willing to take him in. They treated him like their own son and took care of him throughout high school.

Article mentions that the coach also housed a player from 2005-2009. Why is that not being investigated also?
