I don't know how much longer JT is gonna coach.
Curtis will win D1 championships, however, it will not be the coronation that it was in the past in 4A or 3A or 2A. They will sometimes be the favorite but they will actually have to compete. Which is how it should be.

This is a fact, Curtis has been giving poor students; NONATHLETES.students from broken/abusive homes a safe place, free tuition, tutoring...most of these kids were illiterate, broken down and on the road to self destruction..somebody needed to intervene-Curtis did.
I know several of these Curtis grads, one was my best friend.
Contrary to rumor, innuendo, myth, and lies its NOT all about football; any most coaches in NOLA do similar works of grace. Just b/c they win all the time, people gonna hate.

I've never understood this. You have pictures, news articles, trophies, patches, banners, etc. Who gives a flying frick if it's not in some programs the lhsaa sells?

Tommy Henry could not turn JC in, the rules explicitly state that a principal has to initiate an investigation with a formal complaint
Tommy Henry may have been complicit but there are others involved in this.
This strikes me as a punative action to retroactively punish Curtis and send a message. Seems like the powers that be are trying to push certain schools out.

I love how Curtis gets shite on because people think they won all those titles and games playing a soft schedule. Curtis for years wanted to move up, and when they finally do they haven't been as dominant and people are like hahaha they couldn't handle it. They are doing fine and not once have they made an issue of it, they are competing and following the rules. They have had players live with coaches for decades.
You forget Curtis has gone out and played and beaten national teams, they went to Hoover during their run and smacked them by 2 TDs. Curtis has a National Chmapionship, like JT said, they can have their little trophy back.

Other principals have done this and some were at public schools. Many of those kids would have ended up in jail if not for someone giving them a better environment to grow up in.

Go to page 5 of this thread, Curtis himself states he has letters dating back to the 70s of non-athletes living with coaches and personnel. I get some of the hate and perception of private schools like John Curtis, but JT and his father and family are examples of men should live their life with faith and generosity. They may have violated the letter of the rule but not the spirit of it.
They did what was right for a young man. The LHSAA has degenerated into a FIFA type organization where everyone is doing whatever they can so their school can be state champions. It's no longer about the fans or the players, it's about the fact that if you can't win fair on the field, then find other means through corruption and BS.
