When are you lsutards going to realize these guys dont give a frick about lsu or you as a fan. They play for whatever school will pay them the most and put them in a situation to make it to the nfl, its that simple.

They gain nothing by digging their heels in and would give up nothing by coming up with a way to mend the fence and move past this if both sides are willing. This idea that Jayden would need to grovel to move past this is a childish one.

Correct. They should not change their stance now.
They aren't retiring any more numbers. If they want to issue a certain number to a certain player then so be it.
Don't open this back up for future players to make a fuss about it.
Plenty of former Heisman winners don't act this way over who wears a number.

He was already going to be honored by LSU. His number was probably already going to be “retired” in the same way others have been without it being taken out of circulation. You can work with Jayden on a joint statement that things have been resolved and future events have been scheduled to honor Jayden’s legacy and accomplishments at LSU. Everybody wins and LSU doesn’t back down at all.
And it goes without saying this would require Jayden to be willing to back down from his stance first, which his statement may be implying that he is already doing so.
