It's really hard to equate Morant's stupidity with most other stupid athletes. Strawberry was hooked on drugs; thats an addiction problem. Do you have inside info on the Morant's mental stability? You just made allowances for Strawberry, even Russell, and others.
It would actually be interesting to learn what's going on with this guy's emotional balance as well. Doesn't excuse his behavior, but a lot of these guys just don't have healthy emotional stability. Throw Johnny Football in there too.

I didn't make an allowance. I attributed Strawberry's stupidity to his drug use. Now of course, it was his own fault that he got himself into that situation. But looking back, you can see ok this guy went to NYC got a lot of money and got hooked on coke. It was the 80s. It's like a tale as old as time. And Rick James taught us all that cocaine is a powerful drug.
We don't have enough evidence to suggest Morant has a coke problem. I didn't excuse Jarmarcus either. We know he liked the purple drank, but I don't consider it to be addictive enough to take control of somebody's life.
Are you suggesting that Morant has some sort of mental issue beyond just being a dumbass? Bc if that is the case, the people around him need to handle the situation a lot differently. But I don't think there is anything wrong with the guy other than him being a fricking idiot.
