One of the toughest SOBs to play in the last 20 years. Refused to slide and as a result took way too many hits that definitely shortened his career.

Vick was one of the most exciting players to watch ever, and would have been great in modern offenses. The year with Reid in Philly was what that could have looked like and the fact that he was doing what he did running i-form offenses is hilarious now.

Vick would have been dominant in today's game when an NFL OC would know how to actually use him in a spread style offense. He spent most of his NFL career with coaches trying to adapt Vick to the NFL game instead of adapting their offense to Vick. Look at the stats Lamar Jackson, Kyler Murray, etc are putting up. And Vick was a far better athlete than them.

The most athletic QB ever and one of the best overall athletes to ever play the sport. Guy was an absolute freak of nature and a blast to watch. If he played in a modern offense on a decent team, he’d be unstoppable.

Vick not being under center his entire prime in an old school offense is as big of a “what could have been” as I can imagine.

Maybe Barry Sanders with a great team and OL would be bigger.

Not even close.

His physical gifts were off the charts. It was his mental preparation(by his own admission) that was lacking. Last in, first out. Didn't study film the way he should of and solely relied on his talent. His arm was fricking ridiculous.

The worst thing that ever happened to his career was Dan Reeves(RIP) being fired by that idiot Blank. Reeves was basically a father figure to Vick and knew how to shape the offense around him.

Idk about that. Dan Reeves was notoriously conservative in a time where everyone was conservative at a base level. Not sure he would’ve been the guy to ever bring Vick into an offense that could’ve used his skill set in the best way possible.

No, he focused on football in HS but did play before that - Little League through 8th grade. His blinding speed, freakish hand eye coordination and strong arm led several MLB teams to scout him as a potential project. Some teams thought with his athleticism he would be an easy fit as a defensive outfielder and pinch runner and others were curious about the possibility of the elusive switch pitcher.

Vick was legitimately ambidextrous and did a lot of things, such as writing, with his right hand. He could throw a football 50-60 yards with his right hand, but felt more comfortable rolling to his left.

The Colorado Rockies drafted him in the 30th round and were intrigued enough to offer him a signing bonus above that but he was already a football star Va Tech and slotted as a high draft pick.

I was off work the Monday after Vick’s second playoffs loss for the Falcons and I was working on a project and listened to about 10 hours of sports talk from Atlanta that day.

The fans and hosts were convinced Vick would never have sustained success unless he completely changed his approach to football and actually started studying film.

Most people felt if he had not been willing to study up to this point he never would.

He was ahead of his time. If he played in today's game he would have had a much better career I would think.

He's a top 35 QB all time. Better than Troy Aikman or Eli Manning who are "HOFers"
