I was at the 2000 Sugar Bowl, and watched Vick as a 19 yr old freshman run circles around that Florida state defense. I remember thinking holy shite, I’ve never seen a guy so explosive. He was amazing.

Holy shite this is ridiculous. No one is like calling him the GOAT. And I hope that at least 99% of us are in agreement that he was the most explosive and exciting QB to watch, ever. In terms of that, he’s rated right where he’s supposed to be.

I liked the guy, but yeah, he was totally overrated as a QB.
He rode that one Super Bowl win for the remainder of his career and beyond.
His stats are dismal.
50.1 completion percentage.
173 TD's vs. 220 INT's
65.5% passer rating

Vick single handedly led VT to a #2 finish.

Probably the singularly most physically talented QB I’ve ever seen.
Only ever gave glimpses of his true potential. And that’s saying a lot because he was a four time pro bowler and is still the NFL all time qb rushing leader.
There are just a few people I ever remember thinking they could score on any play. He’s one and probably near the top of the list.

Curious as to how old the OP is.
I feel like Vick’s one of those guys that can be hard to truly appreciate if you didn’t watch him when he was playing and in the context of the game at the time. He was electric. There’s been better mobile QBs since him but he really set the standard.

Complete nonsense and I watched almost every Falcon game he played.
His passing fundamentals and vision were below average at best along with his accuracy.
Perhaps the fastest pLayer to ever play
QB along with a powerful arm but just those 2 things do not make him the most "physically talented" QB

Atlanta Vick was overrated. Great runner, not a great overall player or leader.
Philly Vick, especially year 1, was crazy good and deserved all the hype and praise.

Eh. Better runner, barely, but not near as good at passing. Plus CN1 had more success and wasn’t a piece of shite.

I agree with that.
Philly Vick had tons of weapons and great coaching.

It basically took him going to jail to fix it.

I think he's properly rated. He'll always be talked about tho because of the potential and imagination of what he was capable of for fans. He was as fast/elusive as any qb ever and could throw a 70 yard pass on a rope. He was a unicorn but nobody considers him an all-time great.
