Yeah, but that’s just to cover the cost of rent in Austin.

That sounds like a mafia boss didn’t actually order someone killed when they said “take care of it”. Who paid the actual money is irrelevant.

Texas is a sleeping giant my friends, everyone is worried about Oklahoma but Texas could buy Oklahoma Alabama and LSU before breakfast. The money they could raise for football with a few hundred phone calls is in the Billions. If they ever get their shite together …if

You say that, but I believe that there will be a lot more to this than "pay for play" for these coaches and there will be some unintended consequences. Many of these college coaches are not equipped to deal with players that are making bank and the egos and off the field problems that this is likely to create. You see great college coaches who fail at the NFL level because, in part, they aren't used to dealing with that aspect.

It's going to be interesting to see, but the teams that bring in program guys and depth may end up being the winners here. That is not to say that you won't need to take advantage of NIL, that is a must, but it needs to be spread across the team. I could absolutely see where paying a few star players millions would cause locker room and off field issues that would blow up in the coach's face.

So what? Your statement was stupid. Everyone understands that the several universities are not paying the players.

Based on the constant posts I see, I think many do not. If you think they do, well...you should probably not call people stupid.

Lololol I have never wanted a player to fail as much as that guy.
If he got 6 million without playing a down, he's already avoided failure. By a mile

I think there will be a small number of schools that will have relevant programs going forward.

And the difference between that and now is?

It will be a tiny handful. The disparity will be embarrassing, but probably ignored by the ptb.

It will be interesting to watch. It comes down to corruption of everything by money. No one seems to understand how everyone is a slave to our monetary system.

LSU needs to get with the program and realize it’s pay for play

Don’t worry, they’ve been with it for a while. LSU’s been doing what Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia and A&M have been doing.

The schools need to break up from NCAA and form a new league for student athletes. do not want those football professionals playing college balls.

NFL can have these farm system. not sure how many people wants to watch the mini NFL if no school name attached to the teams.

Fact is that these greedy coaches and athletes have killed college sports. They need to stop with the student athlete farce and remove them from the universities and set up legitimate minor leagues.

Instead, they will continue to waste university time and resources on morons that can’t even spell their own name to keep this farce of a league up and provide free prep for the NFL.

Sad state of affairs.
