Numbers are way up because they went from 32 to 48 teams

These numbers disprove your theory

quote:

1994 US - 3.5 million (prior record, despite only 24 teams)
1998 France - 2.8 (first with 32 teams)
2002 Japan/SK - 2.7
2006 Germany - 3.3
2010 South Africa - 3.0
2014 Brazil - 3.4
2018 Russia - 2.4
2022 Qatar - 3.2
2026 North America - 6.0+ (first with 48 teams)

If increasing the number of teams is the reason for increased attendance numbers, then why are the numbers in 1994 at 24 teams higher than all the numbers after the increase to 32 teams?

It's not about the amount of teams playing, it's about the amount of visitors the host is capable of supporting.

No other country on Earth has the capability to support a massive amount of foreign visitors equal to America.

And no other country is as capable of making them feel as comfortable as America is. One thing that every fanbase has praised is that they are allowed to be themselves and the American people not only allow them to, but also get involved and join in.

Other host countries have rules and cultural norms that visitors are expected to adhere to.

America doesn't give a shite. Come have fun. Do your thing.

It's different.

There are also matches in Argentina and Paraguay

Yeah, I looked that up after reading it in the thread.

I didn't look into it too much before, just going off a video I watched that only mentioned the game in Uruguay.

Absolutely. The OP is a fricking retard and those supporting his bullshite before the World Cup started are as well.

Stadiums were rocking coast to coast. As expected people had a great time despite all the “danger”. LOL.

I would 100% join in with the Viking row. That looks like fun.

I’ll bet fifa wishes America could host every World Cup. We have the infrastructure for them to expand to as many teams as they’d like.

I laugh each time I see this thread. This World Cup may be the best worldwide sporting event ever in history. Everyone is loving it and loving the US. The games are better than usual too. Some great stories.

Almost all of the big name players are doing really well. This is often not the case, and it’d been a great story for this World Cup how the top stars are living up to the hype.

Did you know the local motel 6 had some vacancies, that's how the OP knew the entire tournament would be a flop
