They would be equally misguided to trade him for anything less than a king's ransom. They have legitimate Super Bowl aspirations as well. 2025 validated keeping him considering he went 8-3 for them when Purdy was out.

Was it really a good idea to dumb down offenses to allow younger running types to play earlier?

Dart is a warrior but takes far too many unnecessary shots as he did in college too. He also had terrible pocket awareness even at ole miss.

I might be in the minority, but I prefer an NFL where QBs get injured a decent amount of times and backups are important.

Kinda had to once the rookie wage scale was introduced. A good QB on a rookie contract is the ultimate cheat code in the NFL.
