How embarrassing does that have to be lately?

I would rather imagine that then all the other teams not named Houston, Philly, or Atlanta. Imagine being a dodgers fan

I’m a Yankee fan and we got our arses beat by IMO one of the great teams of history which has no weaknesses and is going to go through the Phillies like a dose of Epsom salts and is going to run the postseason 11-0. No excuses here, just congratulations to the better team.

Giving the Astros too much credit. They still have FODB. The Astros might win, but they are not sweeping the Phils.

Perhaps, it will be a tough assignment, but I ask you, where are the weaknesses on this team?

I don't think their pitchers can stop the Astros' offense and I don't think their batters can deal with the Astros' pitching. Houston's staff has a WHIP of 1.092 for the friggin' season. I hadn't paid attention to that number until tonight. That's mind-blowing for an entire staff for 162 games.

He’ll run to the OT to ask which pair of his ripped skinny jeans look best with his new shirt.

Fact is most Yankee fans are long time fans, not band wagon types. In pro sports there are no real excuses, but the Yanks were missing 3 starters the last month and a half & their #1 closer since mid season. I'll be here next year & the next, etc etc.

I’m a Yankees fan and was a Yankees fan from 82-96. That was WAY worse than winning a playoff series and losing to a better team.

IDK about you but I grew up going to 4 WS parades. I missed the 2009 one. There's that.

I would imagine 75% of other MLB fan bases would surely trade places with Yankees fans in a second...imagine being a Reds, Pirates or Royals fan!!

This is very valid. You put healthy DJ and Beni in that lineup, it is tremendously better. And the series probably goes 6 games, instead of sweep.

Yeah, FODB who mismanaged a 106-win team and 2 post season sweeps. Uh huh. Keep hatin'.

Astros lost starting CF and starting ace pitcher in the LDS last year and that may have been the difference between wining the WS and losing in 6 to the Braves. If the Astros don’t win it this year they have no excuses.

For sure not having DJ and benitendi hurt their offensive production in two one run games and a two run game. Surprisingly the Cole game was the only large margin of victory.

All of the hate for them is making me into a Yankees fan now.

I’ve been following them since my son is a huge fan, but reading this board bleed all over about the coverage of Judge, the unfair treatment of the Astros, etc has me actually pulling for the Yankees for the first time.

This was not our year. Any reasonable Yankees fan knew that a long time ago. We have a loaded farm system and will be much better built for the playoffs going forward. The Astros have a far superior team this year. This is easily one of the best teams in the last 20 years

Why would it be embarrassing?
