I didn't realize Madden has been so accurate with Super Bowl simulations.

This article says that the Madden Super Bowl simulations have been accurate 70% of the time.
tl/dr Eagles by 14.

EDIT: Tecmo ran a simulation as well, and it also predicted the Eagles to win.

I mean this is the same thing as flipping a coin and guessing heads right 7/10 times and expecting it to have any impact to guess the next coin flip

Who did the octopus pick, though?

No, it's not.

Never pick the team that had the easiest schedule to get there. Just my 2 cents.

List your Top 5 QB’s the Chiefs have played against this season and then compare that to the Eagles.

Madden is shite. It’s a disgrace to simulation football.
The Super Bowl in all my franchises is always Dallas, Browns, or KC every time.

Eagles may put an arse-whooping on them, but it will never be that big of a blowout... the refs will make sure of it just to keep you watching

But it has only predicted only 5 of the last 10 SBs correctly--the same as random chance.

I remember in the preseason they predicted Dak would throw for like 60 touchdowns and win the MVP lol

Even if you think madden's ability to simulate football is shite, you're comparing apples and calculus textbooks.

I feel like a TigerDroppings thread declaring something definitely won't happen is a stronger force in sports.

and why those who really pay attention to this stuff have no faith in him or the Eagles model leading to any meaningful success.

Or apples to astrology.

I mean if KC doesn't get healthy, it's probably a Philly arse kicking.

Until someone breaks it, a top 6 paid player has not won a Superbowl I'll stick with that. Pretty sure Mahoms is number 5 right now.

How does one simulate a Patrick Mahomes?
Too many people are analyzing the teams and not analyzing the game. They are two different things. Three intangibles none of the talking shitheads understand or have contemplated.
1. Past experience--you are not analyzing a regular season game, you are analyzing the Super Bowl. Chiefs have a head coach and a quarterback who have been there before and have been through the two week long dog and pony show and know how to handle and adapt to it. The Eagles do not. If anyone is going to go Barrett Robbins or Eugene Robinson it will be an Eagle, not a Chief.
2. Someone want to remind me what Andy Reid's record is coming out of a bye week?
3. The Eagles want to win this game. The Chiefs need to win this game. The Eagles are trying to win a Super Bowl. The Chiefs are trying to cement a legacy, start a dynasty, however you want to phrase it. Their goal and motivation is greater than just winning one game or having one championship season. Their goal is all-time greatness--to be put on the level of the 1960s Packers, the 1970s Steelers, the 1980s 49ers, the 1990s Cowboys, and the Tom Brady Patriots. Their goals are higher than the Eagles goals. They are reaching for a higher level than the Eagles are reaching for. Simutaneously they also have an added motivation of not wanting to become the Legion of Boom Seahawks or the Greatest Show on Turf. Teams that had that one championship season but history judges them as relative underachievers because they never followed through with another one when they were given the chance to do so.
Chiefs have so much more motivation to win than the Eagles do. No one will perceive the Eagles as being disappointments if they lose. They will perceive this as being the first year the door has opened for the Eagles to win a championship and that door will stay open win or lose. The media will pile on the Chiefs and declare them to be underachievers and will somehow compose a narrative that this will be the beginning of the end of their reign at the top of the NFL if they lose.

I remember Madden running a sim of SB36 which had the Patriots beating the GSOT
