Whenever I see these types of posts, I think back to Charles Barkley's consistent line about Cam Newton:

"As I always said, if we gave Cam Newton $200,000 to come to Auburn, boy that was a good investment."

Over time, it honestly looks better and better.

Yep, there is only one game that matters in the big10. The rest are just easy wins for the 2 teams that play in the one game.

The Top 15 or so programs in the country have been buying their rosters well before the NCAA made it “legal”.

Lsu plays one preseason top 20 team on the road

OSU plays two top 10 on the road

Lsu plays a total of two top 10 teams, OSU plays 3

But sure

Man Ryan Day is so smart. What a plan to build a champ - pay them the most money

After watching FSU get run over for 4 quarters, are we still putting a lot of stock into preseason rankings?

And one of those teams is the annually overrated Penn State. So, even less of a reason to pretend OSU has a decent schedule.

If day doesn’t win this year it’s pretty much never for him.

That roster is nothing like 2001 Miami or 2009 UF, which was the best roster on paper in the history of CFB.

Instead of the payroll for these rosters, that money could go to helping all of the other sports, or fielding a new sport, and get more people into college athletics across the country.

How many years is the big 10 going to pretend like penn state is a threat in any way?

I would laugh my tail off if they fool around and lose to NW

No one is going to out talent OSU but things get going sideways internally and they can death wobble pretty quickly

Let's revisit this after the season. At Oregon is a bear.

At Penn State? When was the last time they won a big game?

Michigan is replacing nearly every starter and has a first-year head coach. You can't pat yourself on the back for that one. Their preseason ranking will prove to be meaningless.

So besides those three, you have Akron, Western Michigan, Marshall, Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska, Purdue, Northwestern, and Indiana. This is fricking joke. Ohio State has more NFL prospects than this entire group combined.

Say what you want about the pay to play scheme, but you can’t deny that Ohio State has arguably one of the most loaded rosters this year alongside Georgia, TU, and Oregon.

If Howard ends up being a success, they could very well go undefeated this season.

But, as Hartsock pointed out, your last three national championship QBs are Stetson Bennett, Stetson Bennett, and JJ McCarthy.

look i understand that stetson was a senior citizen who didnt graduate and all the jokes that come with it, but this shite has to stop. acting like just anyone can be a stetson bennett for a team is so beyond stupid. it's disingenuous and you're just lying to yourself.

career Y/A leader at uga. single season passing leader, single season completion % (while setting the yards and Y/A metrics), career completion % leader.

in 4 playoff games, he was responsible for 1200 yards and 15 TDs while completing 68% of his passes. The offense was also either completely shut down or he wasnt playing for 3.5 of those 16 quarters (because he beat the frick out of the other team so badly). MVP of all 4 of those playoff games.

that player is not walking through the door. that player is NOT will howard (at least not in any currently discernible way). that player is NOT carson beck, either.
