How many state titles would John Curtis have in the highest classification?

As it stands now, they have 23 state titles, but none in the highest classification

Since moving up to the highest private division, they can't win one

Watching the catholic game today, they simply can't move the ball when another school can match them with size and depth

In my unqualified opinion, 10-12 titles.

I would say around 5, about the same number as west Monroe

Which is still very good, but nowhere near 23

Split back veer requires superior personnel to be successful. It's a joke of an offense.

They've been good enough to get to the Dome, and lost games by one score both times they've been...

So undoubtedly they would have a few if they had moved up around 2004

There have been some extremely good Curtis teams through out the years. Would they have 25? No. I would imagine they’d have 5-8. Some of those 90s and early 2000s teams were very good.

They were winning state back in the day when they moved up classifications. The difference now is more parity in the LHSAA

Off topic, but idk if anyone saw it too...

When CST interviewed the school teachers at halftime and they talked about their academic values at their respective schools etc. etc. I just had to lmao when they interviewed the JC teacher (coach *cough* *cough*).

He had the most dumbfounded look on his face

Really though, it always brings a smile to my face when that school loses in anything, particularly football.

West Monroe has 8. And don’t forget, before the split, only one select team ever one a 5A State Championship.

Surely they’d have won a few. But no where near the current amount.

The real question is, how many would they have if they weren’t cheating in recruiting and having kids move into there homes to play on the team? They single handly ruined high school football and led to the split.

The other question is would Catholic have any if it weren’t for split divisions?
