Texas at Ohio State (Saturday) could be impacted...

There will be more than enough streams on regular YouTube with at least a couple that are great quality if that happens.

People are slaves to their streams with 2 minute delays.

You can use a cheap antenna and watch Texas/Ohio State, Alabama/Florida State, LSU/Clemson, and Notre Dame/Miami this weekend for free with no streaming delay.

I switched from Cox to YouTube TV back in April. So this is my first time dealing with not being able to possibly see something because nobody ever had a problem with Cox when it came to network carriages and stuff like that

I just switched two weeks ago from Directv to YouTube TV, and one of the main reason was carriage disputes. ESPN last year with Direct, and I had lost my local CBS, NBC, and Fox this summer with no foreseeable fix. Now, I go to YTTV and this shite happens. I'm about done with all of it.

It's happened before with YTTV on other channels but still frustrating, nonetheless

In the old days it was that easy, even while living about 70 miles from the two major TV markets in the state. That’s not the case anymore.

It has happened every year for at least the last 3-4 years.

It just feel like every year.

This year it's YouTube with Fox
Last year it was DirectTV with ABC/ESPN
The year before it was YouTube with ABC/ESPN
The year before it was DirectTV with Fox
Etc.
Etc.
Etc.

For the consumer, it's just an endless cycle of being held hostage and worked over by a handful of multi-billion dollar entities.

Not a boomer, but when a lot of the streaming hit, I just got overwhelmed and stayed with my cable. I felt stupid I was paying so much. Now that the streaming prices are being jacked up and you pretty much have to subscribe to multiple apps, I feel like the smart one.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think everyone is panicking for no reason. This dispute is only concerning Fox owned affiliates, the majority of Fox stations are owned by other companies. So while this would impact all of FS1/Fox News/Big 10 Network viewers, it would only impact the OSU-Texas and Auburn-Baylor game if you're local Fox affiliate is actually owned by Fox. And if wikipedia is accurate, not a lot of OTA stations would go dark.
