This is the only point I disagree with you on. It looked like Gard put his hand on Howard's elbow yes. It also looks like Gard is an elbow toucher when talking/shaking hands. It's not that uncommon to see a coach do that. I would think JH pulling down his mask to yell "I'll remember that" while pulling the fake handshake was the initial catalyst. Running a full court press down double digits with your starters against the other teams bench because you're upset to be losing is a catalyst.
This is also Howard's third strike in two seasons. Has Gard threatened other coaches/players or instigated stuff in the past?
Stop trying to make this a racial thing. Flip the races and I know my view on the situation doesn't change. Can you say the same?!

The media has circled the wagons and the precedent has been set. A black coach or player cannot be wrong unless he beats a girl half to death. And that’s only about a 6 game suspension, just cold cocking a female gets you drafted in the first round.

You know why. The same reason that they want race out of sports when they disagree with something, but are the first to bring race up. This board is full of disingenuous racist.
Both coaches were wrong. Both should be suspended. I’ve never had a grown man grab me by my elbow before during confrontation but this board is acting like it’s a common occurrence.

According to all the lefties on this board, Gard acted incorrectly around a black man and it lead to this violent aggression.
I’ve googled bear safety and replaced the words so that us whites can avoid a similar situation in the future

In the other thread one of the guys said that Gard would have been killed for pulling that by certain people (he didn't clarify who those people were so I won't assume). I'm not sure if he meant the timeout or elbow touch, but either way justifying that as being acceptable reciprocation for either action says a lot about a person's character. But ya know... that mid February B1G basketball game just means more.
