The two that I can think of
Tyrod Taylor gets injected before the season opener; the team physician punctures his lung; Justin Herbert gets the start
Chris Brown sitting on the bench cleaning his ears with Q-tips, punctures eardrums, basically ruins career (was already on the way there)

My six year old daughter, last night after tumbling class, running across a gym with a bunch of uneven mats and pads everywhere, to get a sucker, and twists her ankle. She has zero sense of chill. Goes full speed for everything. Ended up being okay for gymnastics after about ten mins of sitting down (eating her sucker).

Jokes aside, I guess it could have been worse and dude still had a good career afterwards. 
Edit: Didn't realize he played 1 game for the Saints in 2023 and recorded a single tackle.

Can't remember the player's name but a pro golfer had a great tee shot and when walking off the tee box did a little jump to celebrate and severely twisted his ankle causing him to have to withdraw.
Just remembered: It was Tony Finau in a par 3 contest. He dislocated his ankle, not sprained it.
