Weirdest one for me was "turf toe".
I had heard the term many times when watching NFL games and hearing a player was out of the game because of it---------------and I just scoffed at that.
That is, until it happened to me and it was such a freakish injury to boot. I was coming down a flight of stairs that were carpeted while in sock feet. I mis stepped and the carpet quickly pulled the toe of my sock toward my heel and I heard a pop.
Yep, turf toe and that crap hurt like hell with even the slightest pressure on my big toe. Changed my mind then and there about the severity of that injury.

sneezing and pulling a back muscle, putting a player out of game, it does happen tho.
