Help me understand the constant bringing up of the Jacob Blake shite? Why is it anytime Brees is mentioned people want to trash him over it, but yet the entire fricking team wore it.

Drew Brees stated that he didn't believe in kneeling for the anthem because his grandfathers both served in WW2 and he thought it would be a disservice to both of them. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that stance, but when the other mouthbreathing retards like Malcolm Jenkins and Michael Thomas criticized him for it, he didn't stand by his principles.

Jacob Blake is a worthless piece of dogshit who got himself shot by resisting arrest after sexually assaulting his ex and the mother of his children. The only thing the police officer did wrong in that situation was not kill him. People like him should be shunned from society and left to rot in prison, but because Brees was too much of a pussy to stand up for his perfectly valid beliefs, he decided to honor this sex offender by taping his name to his helmet.

I have no respect for anyone who honors such a worthless member of society like Blake or George Floyd.

ETA: Blake broke into his ex's house, forced his way into her room, stuck his finger in her snatch, and told her that her pussy smells like other men. What an incredible, upstanding citizen. That's who Drew Brees decided was worthy of honoring by putting his name on his helmet.

Well, the TD bahws are soft and sensitive. They are especially triggered by a certain people. You notice how they seem to work that in any and every conversation, even though it has zero to do with the topic. It's like their simple minded pea brains are occupied by them.

Some team trainer put that on his helmet and he wore it at practice.

They call him soft but bring it up everytime his name is mentioned.

Drew Brees
@drewbrees
Despite speculation from media about my future this fall, I’m currently undecided. I may work for NBC, I may play football again, I may focus on business and philanthropy, I may train for the pickleball tour, senior golf tour, coach my kids or all of the above. I’ll let you know

That NFL TV contract created more upheaval than anyone predicted, and huge contracts were thrown around to everyone. Brees is left on the sidelines without a job. He’ll be lucky if he lands at Fox broadcasting bottom tier games like Panthers vs. Jets

Meh if Brees wanted his role (Notre Dame games and second tier NFL) he’d probably still have it, unless there’s more to the story

Most do. Particularly Michael Thomas and Malcom Jenkins.

I thought he was alright on the NBC pregame. Maybe a little unsure of himself in front of the camera like that. Not the best not the worst. Romo set the bar pretty damned high. Love listening to him call games.

I can understand the disappointment at Brees for everything that took place BLM-wise. But to not recognize the incredibly vulnerable position he was in to begin with seems..important? They would’ve melted that SB trophy, and deleted his records by MON. 2020 was a weird time.

Oh damn. So when did Brees kneel for the anthem? I don’t remember that

If I'm not mistaken all that didn't come out until after this.

That says more about Saints ownership than it does about Brees.

Blake and Floyd's 18 mile long rapsheets were very well known at that point.

Watching New Orleans fans turn on a great family man who figuratively (and in some ways literally) saved their city when nobody else wanted anything to do with that shite hole is despicable. He pumped tens of millions of his own dollars into the city and generated billions in revenue.

He gave them everything and all it took was a black dude’s name on his helmet to make these degenerates forget everything he did for them. He was one of the good guys in a league full of scumbags.

Everyone knows what his real beliefs are. But yet when he was personally attacked by liberal mobs about kneeling including his teammates who know him he buckled and kneeled down to his personal beliefs and caved to the mob.

His entitled wife was worse with her "We are the problem" statement. That made me sick.

This is such disingenuous horseshite and you know it.

ETA: It's disingenuous because you know damn well the color of Jacob Blake's skin is not why everyone was so disappointed in Drew Brees. You claim to be a doctor so I'll assume you were smart enough to figure this out on your own and didn't need it explained to you.

They weren’t New Orleans fans

Everyone I heard at that protest chanting F Drew Brees after he made his initial comments had to be a transplant or not a football fan
