They had Jameis at that time…

Brees has a Super Bowl ring, a beautiful wife and kids, and millions of dollars, and soon, a gold jacket… think he’ll be ok

If Drew had half the character people are willing to pretend he had because he won a super bowl in a murder capital, he would have retired and proved what he is as a player and man. Instead we got to watch a corporate shill as a husk of what he was go out as a loser and hypocrite.

There are sadly quite a few people who have the best of this world who are trash humans. OJ is rich has beautiful kids, has had more women then you could dream of. He's a trash human who you should have contempt and pity for.

Wait a minute, are you saying in a locker room power struggle that Gayle and CSP were going to side with Emmanuel Sanders over the most important Saint in franchise history - let me say that again, THE MOST IMPORTANT SAINT IN FRANCHISE HISTORY - because they had Jameis fricking Winston waiting in the wings? Is that really your contention?

Never heard of an analogy? Someone being rich with family doesn't mean they are a good person. It also doesn't mean they can sleep at night. It certainly doesn't mean you should admire or try to defend them.

Grow the frick up jock worshipping twit. Fame and fortune arent everything and if you think an allegedly competitive person like Brees isn't bothered by the failing of his character test, you are dumber than I think you are.

Are you saying Brees wasn’t washed up going into 2020?

The fact is if Drew Brees won a title in San Francisco, none of you ladies would pretend to admire him.

I bet Drew can still throw a football 55-60 yards downfield. He should come back to the league!

Everyone wanted Brees last year. Fox and CBS could have put him in the booth broadcasting games every Sunday. ESPN desperately wanted to update their Monday crew. There were rumors Amazon was interested.

NBC threw a bunch of money at him without a defined role just to have him under their roof. They paid a premium free agent salary to have him spend a lot of time on the bench. They did something similar when they hired Tirico to replace Bob Costas, and eventually Al Michaels.

NBC knew the new TV contract that starts in 2023 will reshuffle the broadcasting landscape. Rumors of Al Michaels retiring and Collinsworth leaving to focus on other interests, including PFF, would create a huge hole in the booth for the biggest ratings grabber on TV. They thought Brees could help fill that void.

That NFL TV contract created more upheaval than anyone predicted, and huge contracts were thrown around to everyone. Brees is left on the sidelines without a job. He’ll be lucky if he lands at Fox broadcasting bottom tier games like Panthers vs. Jets.

Summary:

2021: Brees had his pick of jobs and salary.

2022: Everyone had job openings. Networks were desperate for talent. Huge contracts were awarded. Brees is jobless.

He couldn't throw it half that by the end.

The Brees hate is very TD centric IMO. Outside of this site most people I’ve talked about it with took more issue with his teammates trashing him and the Saints doing nothing to have his back. That’s the way I feel about it too.

Of course it is, 9/10 people on the street in New Orleans would have no clue what you were talking about it you just randomly asked how the felt about drew and jacob Blake.

Good one mate. I like how Drew kept his poo birth mark bc he didn't want to disappoint kids who don't have the ability to "fix" abnormalities but then at the same time he got the most ridiculous looking hair plugs in sports broadcasting history.

What a dumbass.

Just let Cody, Butch and Gage have their moment. They think they speak for the majority because the rest of Livingston Parish and their alters are upvoting their comments.

Help me understand the constant bringing up of the Jacob Blake shite? Why is it anytime Brees is mentioned people want to trash him over it, but yet the entire fricking team wore it. quote: "It was just something we decided to do last night to honor him (Jacob Blake)," head coach Sean Payton said in an interview with the media. Why don't you fricks mention this every single time Payton's name is brought up? The disdain for Brees over it seems so ridiculous.

Because EHE started out defending the flag and then crawfished the moment pressure was applied. If he started out wearing the name, I doubt he gets this type of treatment. It was the apology
