Legendary NFL quarterback Drew Brees will not return to NBC after just one season as a studio and game analyst, according to sources.

The decision seemed mutual as Brees preferred doing games over the “Football Night in America” studio show, and NBC didn’t have many NFL games to offer him. NBC soured on Brees’ potential after originally believing he could develop into the heir apparent to Cris Collinsworth on “Sunday Night Football” games.

On the air, Brees, 43, had an up and down rookie season that was highlighted by a poor performance in his biggest broadcast of the year, the Bengals-Raiders playoff game.

Name one thing in Brees' career that has been good since this:

Help me understand the constant bringing up of the Jacob Blake shite? Why is it anytime Brees is mentioned people want to trash him over it, but yet the entire fricking team wore it.

quote:

"It was just something we decided to do last night to honor him (Jacob Blake)," head coach Sean Payton said in an interview with the media.

Why don't you fricks mention this every single time Payton's name is brought up?

The disdain for Brees over it seems so ridiculous.

He just needs to fade away.

Never seen such a decline in a player who was almost universally loved, then got cucked.

It’s a shame he can’t go back to 2018 and retire after that playoff tragedy.

People would still love him and defend him.

Agreed. Romo working out has the networks thinking they can plug in anyone in the A team. Didn't work with Whitten. Brees was not of that caliber. $375 million for Brady is crazy to me as he might be a dud.

Two players, Craig Robertson and Emmanuel Sanders, both highly respected and veteran presences on the Saints, also spoke about how everything came together and their thoughts.

“It came about, (where we) we had a team meeting," Robertson said.

"And so, Sean Payton, he called a team meeting last night and told us that we were going to put his name on a helmet. He also said that he's open for discussion of anybody bringing any ideas, of trying to do more as well. So I think that we're all going to get together and see if we can do more, do more than that as well, but I think it was a good start.”

Why? Because people like you can't let it go? He was in a lose/lose situation. Lose his teammates (who did him dirty) or lose his fans. I think it's ridiculous that people let one ridiculous year affect their overall opinion on him, but that's fine. Forever trash the man anytime his name is mentioned moving forward.

I fully intend too. Hes a cuck coward and got exposed as a fraud. As said before he needs to take his arse back to San Diego and fade away. No one wants to hear what ol Hair plugs has to say.

Because Brees was so vocal about his beliefs in our Country. With many things he has done with and for our military. How he has spoken about his grandfather’s service in WWII. His personal trips to go talk and train with our soldiers. Everyone knows what his real beliefs are. But yet when he was personally attacked by liberal mobs about kneeling including his teammates who know him he buckled and kneeled down to his personal beliefs and caved to the mob. That is why he disappointed so many and no one has respect for him anymore, he isn’t a man he is a coward.

Poliboarders bring up the past more frequently than women.
Also, I figured Drew would go do CFB with ESPN for a while. Do the XII's games for a while until he learns the ropes of tv then work his way up.

I heard that Drew and his wife have done phenomenal with their "investment jewelry" acquisitions over the past decade. It was absolutely inflation safe.

I hope this gives them more time to expand on it.

The Jarvis Landry signing was just too damn tempting. Drew is coming back to reclaim his records from Brady and lead the Saints to another SB.

Just kidding but a man can dream right?
