I hope so because i like Jarvis there. Thats why i kind of carefully worded the title. That said it wouldn't be totally shocking considering all of the factors.

Wes welker had a career average of 11.0, 2 time All Pro. Very comparable players, used similarly in their offenses.

You are just trying to find a way to rag on the guy. Fact is that both variables used to derive YPC show Landry in the top 10. Also happens to be ranked very high in catches to targets.

Is he top 10? He is borderline. But a bunch of guys seem to be down on him and find him overrated because he wouldn't be your first choice for a back corner fade.

Is Julian Edelman a top 10 WR then? Was Welker a top 10 WR? The Pats did just fine filling his shoes with the likes of Amendola and eventually the rise of Edelman.

The main reason he gets talked about is because of the number of catches he has but you have to understand how those catches came about. When Joe Philbin was running the offense, the whole offense was designed to run through Jarvis Landry, which is fine but it means he was getting schemed open all the time, it mens the receptions he was getting he really didn’t have to work for.
receptions per game with Philbin as his coach: 5.6
Without: 6.3

If preseason is any indicator, Parker is going to take a ton of targets from Landry.

Landry to patriots for a 2nd rounder in 2018.

Good but not great.
Gets a ring 2017 2018.

Pats replace edelman. Landry not as quick but solid addition.

Landry would be an interesting piece for the Pat's, but I didn't know his 3 cone time was in the mid 7 seconds.

I either want him to be a Saint or a Packer and just rack up the yards and TDs.

He's probably 8 or 9 on that list, so he's top 10 IMO. Most receptions first 3 years in the history of the NFL. I love the way he plays, but I agree with others that Odell is more dynamic.

Welker lead the league in catches 3x, had two 1300 seasons and one 1500. But yea, let's compare the 2.

Would love to have Landry but I don't think they are shelling out draft capitol to fill a hole in one of their deepest positions on the team

They reallly like Cooks and Hogan, and have a variety of weapons behind those two.

Landry is a good player, but if he's your #1 option, you don't have a very good WR corp, he's not #1 type good nor does he have the #1 type skillset.

If Parker is the real deal, Landry would make a fantastic #2.

If I'm Miami, I'm not paying him #1 money, I'd let him walk. But I would still want to keep him and offer him what I think is a fair value, even though he will almost certainly not take it.

one had the GOAT QB and the other has a mediocre QB, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with it

That doesn't even matter, I think showing the ridiculous numbers Welker put up only strengthens LE's argument.

No one in their right mind would ever consider Welker a legit #1 WR in the NFL. At the very height of his powers, if we were drafting WRs, he wouldn't get drafted anywhere near where his numbers would suggest.

everyone always blames Tannehill. No one ever blames Landry's below average athleticism. He makes the best out of it and as i said before, there is no shame in being a top 25 WR.

Explain why? He was able to be top 10 in yards receiving with a below average qb and offensive system in the NFL.

Why would a guy who was 7th in catches and 10th in yards settle for anything less than top money?
