Yeah he's nowhere "right behind" O'Dell if we're talking the whole league

The reason Jarvis Landry gets talked up, part of the reason is because he went to school with Odell Beckham so they always throw him in the graphics with Odell Beckham,” Fahey said on the Dan Le Batard Show with Stugotz.

“The main reason he gets talked about is because of the number of catches he has but you have to understand how those catches came about. When Joe Philbin was running the offense, the whole offense was designed to run through Jarvis Landry, which is fine but it means he was getting schemed open all the time, it mens the receptions he was getting he really didn’t have to work for.

“If you want to pay a top receiver, he has to either run great routes so he’s always open or he has to win at the catch point, that would be offering your quarterback a greater margin for error and Landry doesn’t do that. If you stack him up against the best wide receivers in the league he doesn’t look like any of them and doesn’t play like any of them. Really it’s all about forcing the ball to him and if I was the Dolphins I would let him walk and just play Leonte Carroo if Caroo is ready or look for someone else.”

Though these views won’t be popular in South Florida, I tend to agree.

He's in the 25 to 30 range in my opinion which is good enough for a solid #2

He's 1100 yards and 22 TD behind him.

He's the beat slot receiver in the league, but they're not worth the money.

frick me. The one damn kid on our team that is a warrior and has heart and we're going to trade him???

I've watched games where the entire Fins roster has packed it in and he's still busting his arse. This would be typical fricking Dolphins.

He is probably a top 5 #2WR. That puts him at 30 to 35 at his position.

You don't pay top dollar for guys who can't win 1 on 1 on the outside against top corners. He lacks speed and size.

Top #1 WRs are getting 14 to 16 million per year. Jarvis is lucky to see half of that.

That's pretty ludicrous.

He's a great slot receiver, but people overrate him. He is not a top 15 WR in this league like some people make him out to be.

That would be like taking Desean Jackson and running 7 yard ins.

You have Sammy fricking Watkins as a top 10 WR?

Dolphins offensive coordinator Bill Lazor kept life simple for Tannehill in 2014, with a vast majority of his throws targeted at receivers on short and intermediate routes. That has always been the bread and butter of the offense. Tannehill accumulated 1,965 of his passing yards after the catch (11th-most in the NFL), although his YAC percentage was 48.6 (19th), according to Advanced Football Analytics.

That's why Jarvis Landry was such a big part of the Dolphins offense as a rookie, with a team-high 84 receptions in 2014 (most receptions among rookie receivers), and why he should remain a big part of the Dolphins attack.

I wouldn't say ludicrous. They force fed the ball to Jarvis in the Philbin offense. Don't get me wrong. I love Jarvis, but I think he is a bit overrated as a WR on here. Yet he's still the best football player the Dolphins have because of everything he brings to the table.

I think he's a better overall WR than Brandin Cooks. If Landry was at a place like New England, he would rake.

I'd put Thomas way before Sammy fricking Watkins

Is it Sammy Watkins fault his quarterbacks have been tyrod Taylor and Jared goff? Hell Antonio brown and Julio jones wouldn't be who they are without the systems they're in and a pretty good qb to throw the ball. I think you forget how damn good Sammy Watkins was in college, he just hasn't had a half decent qb in the NFL.
