It skips the commercials.

Completely relevant?

“Nobody gave his team a chance be said”. His team was the favorite to win every single playoff game they were in and were the favorites to win the AFC starting in mid October

What’s completely irrelevant showing the August win total of 8.5 (which isn’t even bad)

It’s kinda weird because yeah there isn’t a Star QB

but they both played well thisnyear, Darnold was good last year and one of them will win a Suprbowl… that’s sounds like a Star QB. One of them will be the next star

87-05 was the apex of Super Bowl logos. You knew where the game was being played based off of that, and I can recall matchups based off of them as well.

06-10 were a little stale, and 2011-16 were trash except for when they used the logo with the stadium.

2017-21 were just horrendous. But mUh fReSh aNd ClEaN look.

We have seen a slight upgrade since.

I noticed it as well.

I'm not sure if it's because the teams or just because of general NFL fatigue.

The NFL has adopted a new model where they never go away. They stay "on" 365 days a year. I find it numbing.

Buzz or no buzz, they'll get their ratings which is all they care about.

The super bowl has become a pop culture freak show. The actual football game and football fans mean nothing to the NFL now unfortunately.

One of the reasons is that the participating teams are just kind of boring. The storylines are meh, and aren't really moving the needle.

Having said that, I think that it will be a good game, and I'm looking forward to it.

Zero excitement but its been this way all season. I give two shits about it anymore. If 10 years ago someone would've told me that I would think they were crazy.

However, I like to drink and I like a party so I will go one, eat, drink and probably leave at halftime. Check the score the next morning.

I have been listening to The Ticket in Dallas as they are broadcasting from San Francisco at media row all week & they are saying very little buzz & even though San Francisco is a great city to visit all the events are spread out & they much prefer Super Bowls in New Orleans as everything is all within walking distance. They said the media party in Redwood City(halfway between SF & San Jose) at EA Sports headquarters was a huge bust.

Although the 4.5 point line suggests it won't be a boring game.

I think the Patriots score 10 maybe.

Definitely.

There’s really no big names. Just a few underdog stories.

The Super Bowl used to be a spectacle. In addition to the game you had amazing commercials and a half time show worth watching. It’s become very sterile since the mid 90’s

Pats are a great team but they are hard to watch. They win with defense and turnovers but don’t have the moxy of the OG Ravens.

I think if it would have been Bears vs Bills the hype would be out of this world.

I just think these teams don't have the star power that most super bowl teams typically have.

Enough people will probably watch for them to get decent ratings, it IS the Superbowl, but many are tired of the NFL Woke politics, diminishing quality of play/product on the field, choices for half-time entertainment that only appeal to less than half the population, etc. They just don't seem to want to appeal to ALL the viewers/fans anymore.

Neither team is really captivating or polarizing. There's no long drought to root for or supervillain to root against. I also feel like a lot of neutrals are let down that the Patriots successfully rebuilt and got back to the Super Bowl before Allen could get the Bills there.

Another factor is that CFB had the greatest story in its history this season. It's impossible for the NFL to live up to that unless the Super Bowl was something like Lions/Bills. People will talk about that Indiana team for decades; the winner of this year's Super Bowl will already be forgotten by 2030.

It’s because of the QBs. No one wants to see Darnold win it. Drake Maye is like 6th on the list of AFC QBs. Plus pats fatigue.

Plus bad bunny.
