That's because he works for the SEC Network and has been told the SEC's gameplan here by the SEC.

Correct

As I said

I can’t believe this is even halfway serious.

The SEC needs LSU and should be proud to have them.

You have some bitch leaders involved making the situation personal rather than properly doing their jobs.

And when it comes to athlete eligibility, they have been grossly incompetent for many years.

This is about breaking SEC rules. Playing ineligible players is against the rules.

Have we?

What rule has LSU broken?

Be specific.

quote:

No, they petition the court to get a federal court to rule that they had the authority to enforce their rules for people who broke them.

It includes a restraining order to prevent LSU from counter suing.

It's actually worse. There is at least logical reasoning behind contesting the after the fact 5 for 5 rule change.

Yes, he is. The only reason the NCAA can’t act is because of a restraining order that is currently being appealed.

Which was appealed to the Supreme Court and lost again. When it gets heard the NCAA will lose yet again because of their own uneven enforcement. He's eligible.

We have a compliance officer as commissioner listening to academics in university presidents

It’s a disaster in the SEC

Notice the ADs aren’t saying retarded shite? But the problem is they don’t have the power

Wrong again. The appeal for Chambliss hasn’t been heard yet.

You're trying to change my argument

Also I'm pretty sure his case was with the NCAA not SEC

Why are you trying to change my argument for the 2nd time in a single post?

What are the specifics? Isn't it just to prevent LSU from going back to State Court for another injunction using state law? That's the very mechanism that was used by the players to try to prevent the SEC from enforcing its rules. It's kind of important to remove that from the equation to permit the SEC to enforce their rules

That doesn't specifically say they're going to punish us if we don't roster them.

I haven’t paid too much attention but I was hoping we were in a Mexican standoff where LSU was digging in due to pride(possibly rightfully so) and the SEC was pushing back to protect future leverage or something.

As in, the SEC thinks LSU winning this thing would make future situations(whatever they might be) harder to navigate.

Now we have folks seriously talking about booting LSU from the league. Both sides need to chill.

It’s about having the power to kick LSU out of the SEC because we might break a rule.

You think expelling a member isn’t punishment?

AG Murrill said on Mascona today that, as far as she knows, no one named in the federal lawsuit is even contemplating an attempt to halt any SEC member meetings on Thursday. I think the conference should be able to do it… I just don’t think an expulsion is warranted.

Your thoughts are correct. Nobody is really trying to kick LSU out of the SEC as of today.

The realistic scenario for a nuclear response against LSU this year is banning them from the SECCG, which basically would remove them from playoff contention vicariously. Something like THAT could happen this year.
