Do you like College Sports more or less than you did 10 years ago?

I’m a diehard LSU Fan. Absolutely love being in Alex Box and Tiger Stadium. I will continue to enjoy the heck out of it, but I’m not as caught up in it as I was 10 years ago.

May certainly be the season of life I’m in, but curious what the overall tone of the board is.

There comes a certain point in life after a wife and kids that sports in general become less of a priority. That’s just the way it goes.

Less overall. CF Football interest has increased though. Baseball less and basketball way less.

I’m with you. Seems since 2019, covid, and woke came about, I’ve lost interest. I think that may be because I canceled my cable and started pursuits down other avenues of life, though.

I like it more than professional sports but it’s taking a turn to go downhill fast.

If you watch more sports outside of the major three (football, baseball, basketball) college athletics is extremely enjoyable. The non-revenue generating sports are mostly full of people who will not go professional in the sport they're playing and actually have a passion for what they do.

Change the channel one time.

I don’t have the same love for baseball like I did as a kid in the 90s. It was just a special time and the players we had were unbelievable. I still love basketball but the passion is not on the same level as when I was a kid. My passion and love for football has never changed and I will fight a motherfreaker over it lol.

Still the same just don’t let it bug me as long after like I did.
That damn LSU baseball game last Sunday would have pissed me off till the next day 10 years ago.
Now I do drugs. Haha kidding

Baseball - more
Football - significantly less
Hoops - steady on indifferent
Other men's - glad to hear when we win stuff but do not follow. So no change

Women's - glad when we win championships but could hardly care less if they were all canceled.

I would say I'm more of a fan now considering in my mid 20's. I will say I have a newborn and I'm excited for the days he and I can watch the tigers together!

Much less, especially LSU.

I could not stomach the Saturday Night Special Piped-In Concert in PIMger Stadium, so me and Mrs. Semjase went full blast and got the hell out of Dodge 12 hours away from BR.

It's no longer a factor in my life whether I'm going to the game or not........

To a degree, yes. But when your children get interested it adds a new factor that intensifies one's interest.

In my case, it was a combination of things that diminished my interest in football - the LSU Admin removing Troy Middleton's name, turning TS into Floyd's HS colors, crime in BR, hiring an avowed proponent of CRT (Tate), the portal. No longer the same game I've spent 50+ years watching.

I find college football more fascinating now than I did but do miss when bowl games mattered more.

LSU baseball, I watch way more.

However, I now (30 years old) find I am way less angry than I was in my teens and early 20s. Losses don't bother me near as much. I probably just have more to worry about in my life now.

I'd say about the same but I'd add the context that in 2013 I was very disillusioned with Les, Johnny, and on the fence on Paul. 2023 looks to be the dawning of a golden age for LSU sports. (Well, except for that one sport.) But the sky high expectations just have me back up to the old norm.

I enjoy college sports more now than any other time in my life. This is due to my having more time to gather information on the sport, teams, and players of the sport that is in season, now that I am retired. I find that the more I know, the higher the level of enjoymment I have. With the internet, I have much greater access to information than ever before. My favorite sport is baseball.
