Not sure if you know this, but Rice is generally considered the GOAT NFL wide receiver.
And Tom Brady is the 2nd GOAT WR post age 40. Unreal.

I'd still take Randy Moss or Lawrence Taylor over Rice any day.
You obviously don't know shite about football. Rice was the total package. He caught EVERYTHING, he got open, he blocked, he ran every route every play like he was getting the ball. He elevated the play of his teammates and their training. And he did it for 20 years.
Just imagine if Tom Brady had Jerry Rice to throw to.

Rice had more receiving yards and TDs in the 3 postseason games he played at 40 years old then Moss did in that 2007 post season
At age 33 Rice broke the single season nfl receiving yardage record. At age 33 Moss was a shell of his former self

Imagine Randy Moss having either Montana or Steve Young throwing to him for 15 seasons

If Moss actually gave a shite and had Rice's work ethic, there would be no debate. He had Brady for three seasons and if you want to count Culpepper as his best QB's.
Rice is #1 on my WR list and Moss is at #2.

Rice may be the greatest football player ever.

This was in a much less passing league too
Rich Gannon from that year would have led the league in pass attempts this year.

Everyone including Randy Moss thinks you're retarded and LT is waiting for you to pass the pipe.

He's SWAC. YOU don't " develop " that , Sir. Certain schools recruit & buy that because history has proven some will sell themselves for trinkets/ shiny things.

I honestly think Jerry could play right now if someone needed him. He’s a freak.

Now list the D-1 schools that Payton and Rice turned down to attend JSU and Miss Valley State and be honest with yourself and admit they attended those schools because they did not have D-1 offers.
Both Payton and Rice have proven to be decent men of strong character. You can acknowledge their SWAC education helped in that character building without saying their D-1 contemporaries “sold themselves” while alluding to slave auctions.

Jerry Rice learned to catch by catching bricks. That’s hardcore. Of course he showing up the youngsters.

Give it a rest will you? Integration happened and racism is at an all time low in this country to the point to where the need for HBCU’s as outlets and avenues for education for African Americans is not severely diminished, but completely eliminated. Yes, we used to have serious racial issues in this country. We don’t anymore.
Hey how did Travis Hunter and Deion do “representing and speaking for the HBCU’s”? Oh that’s right, they jumped at the first chance they could to the whitest campus in America, Boulder, CO

You can't buy everyone with nice things & shiny objects, but history has proven certain people will do it . I don't blame these schools that don't really respect these athletes who sell themselves for Gold Trans Ams/ Dodge Chargers etc....... Eddie Robinson Jr( he's SWAC) was right & sniffed out his con.
I can't fight centuries of conditioning, but Rice is proudly SWAC & didn't need some White school to " develop" him.

Can you define “white school”? Is it a white school if it has one white student? Does it need 10? 100? 1000?
Because its sounds like my white grand father (who was born in 1907 Louisiana) who would bring up “black schools” and “white schools” when arguing for keeping the races segregated.

Don’t kid yourself, if the SEC called (now, not in Eddie Sr.’s time) he’d be gone

I'd take Payton ( SWAC) over Rice.

The gap between his records and 2nd place is astonishing. Just an example: Larry Fitzgerald played for 17 years and is 2nd place in rec yds. Jerry has 5400 more yards. And Fitzgerald actually came pretty close to Rices all time reception record, but is stillnearly 120 short.
That's just crazy. His rec TD record is even more insane considering he has 41 more than 2nd place Randy Moss.

Yeah, if you look at some of oldest receivers to get 1k yards, it’s mostly old schools guys TO, Chris Carter, Steve Smith, Tim Brown at 35. Modern WRs seem like they tapped out at 31. Look at Julio, AJ, Chad Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Hopkins.
