A few tweets out there that Correa’s house just hit the market. Sounds to me that Correa got the confirmation from Houston that they’re not willing to give him the years he wants (and I don’t blame them. 10 years for an oft injured SS).

Lots and lots of Cubs smoke. I understand the Simmons signing, but it’s one year…I’m sure concessions can be made.

Congrats to him if someone wants to give him the years he’s looking for. I think it’ll end up being 7-8 years with a high AAV to cover the 2 years he’s just dying to have.

That's the only team that seems clearly in the mix. Question is if they want to spend right now given the state of their team.

I think he’ll end up with something absolutely ridiculous… 12 years at $38 mil per year.

Yankees will drive up the price, knowing they really aren’t interested.

I can see him going to the Marlins now that Jeter is no longer there.

Jeter left the Marlins because they don’t want to spend money

They haven’t lived in the Montrose location since before baby Kylo was born. They are currently living in a Villages mansion that leases for $17k a month. The Montrose location wasn’t a place for a baby.

Dang wish my life was so nice that a 1.7 mil home wasn’t good enough to raise a family

Astros sign Niko Goodrum to a 2.1 mil deal.

30 year old been in the bigs with Tigers last four seasons. Really good athlete and can play multiple positions but is a giant stinker at the plate.

Kinda a move that makes you think they are going to run Aledmys at SS or 3B every day so Niko can be the utility guy

I always wonder why they waste money on players like this when there are plenty of AAAA players in our farm

I think this closes the book on Correa. That's a signal to me that Aledmys is going to slide in as starting SS at least until Peña is ready which takes him out of the IF/OF utility role.

Nah, Goodrum is just depth. He can also play OF and cover until Jake is back.

He does the same thing as Diaz. Actually a little more flexible than Diaz, Goodrum has played all the defensive positions but catcher. I just don't see signing Goodrum if you're counting on Correa being back and having Diaz as the utility man. To me it signals Diaz losing that flexibility

He is similar to the role Marwin filled at the end of the year I guess. Can play basically anywhere, had some good seasons offensively a couple years ago but has obviously been bad recently. I dunno I am fine with it as depth, pretty low risk

Yea it’s not a big enough deal to draw a reaction out of me. He’s a big leaguer and you know what you have in him. He’s an infinitely more athletic lighter hitting Diaz
