He probably could have hit about as well as the rest of our roster during the WS.

League source confirms that IL stints *and* options will move back to 15 days instead of 10. This, along with limiting minor league options at five per season will help cut down on roster churn.
The 15 days I believe are for pitchers.

Tommy Pham is an interesting name to me dependent on price. He's played some CF although he's been more corner OF.
He's a statcast darling as far as barrels, hard hit percentage, chase rates, whiff rates, walk rates and sprint speeds.
He had some ugly numbers last year but also had some batted ball bad luck playing in Petco Park.

Sign Brett Gardner so the Yankees can't

Per sources, the Padres are "aggressively shopping" both Eric Hosmer & Wil Myers.
Paging List Eater.

They've been trying to get out from those contracts since they signed them.
Although
Hosmer, Paddock, and a prospect for Voit, salary relief sounds like a plan to me

@astros owner Jim Crane said he would re-engage with free agent shortstop Carlos Correa (@TeamCJCorrea) and the Astros have done just that: “Our team has reached out to his agent. We’re in discussions.”

@Buster_ESPN
As agents have noted: Given the offers Carlos Correa got before the lockout, his previous agency would be in position to claim a majority of whatever he gets in a multi-year deal. If Correa signs for for one year now, new agent Scott Boras gets all $ of a new deal next winter.

So, are we looking at a possible 1 and 1 with player option at 35M per?
Some kind of Verlander type deal?

SOURCE: Astros intensify talks to bring Carlos Correa back to Houston.

Astros have stepped up efforts to bring back Carlos Correa to the point where owner team owner Jim Crane is involved. Astros are clearly serious but other teams are still involved.
@hgomez27
mentioned intensifying talks

Agents have been predicting for weeks that Correa could take a deal in the range of six years with the Astros, at a high salary, with an opt-out after the first year. Mitigates some of the risk for him, and HOU would get a key player back. Crane has no interest in rebuilding.

I think it would be like above where it’s 6 or so with an opt out for him. It would be more than 35 a year too IMO
