Oakland dumped Chris Bassit, they'll probably do the same with Matt Olsen.
If the Braves can't keep Freddie, Olsen is the most likely to replace him. He's an Atlanta kid so the chance to play at home would be enticing.
Probably have to give up one of Apache pr Waters, though.

There’s some hardline posturing going on right now
I choose to see it as a positive in that we are still negotiating
But I really don’t want to see an overpay for Correa, b/c he has a Springer-like Blue Jays season screaming at the top of his lungs coming up

Brinson does suck. Wasn't he the one of the top prospects in baseball at one point though?

Yeah he was the main piece of the Yelich trade between Miami and Milwaukee

Yeah I saw him play a bit last year and he was bad. He must've fell off a cliff.

And Matt Chapman.
Time to slide Alex over. Hopefully he has not been on last off-season's regimen.

From 2018 Baseball Prospectus...
quote:
Brinson seems to be a sure-fire prospect. He’s been ranked in the top 20 for the last two seasons and he's there again this year—you can check for yourself at the end of this book. He looks the part in center field and has compiled gaudy Triple-A numbers.
From 2021...
quote:
It's hard for some people to move on from the glories of their past. Imagine how hard it must be to move on from the glories of one's past's future, coming to terms with what you haven't become. Brinson was a top-30 prospect three times as a member of three different organizations (Rangers, Brewers, Marlins). As a prospect, Brinson had a habit of flatlining upon promotion before electroshocking back to life after an adjustment period, but his bat has been fairly unresponsive to medical intervention as a big-leaguer.

39 year old Tommy John survivor Justin Verlander supposedly hitting 95-96 in live BP.

I'll watch him go out and throw 210 innings with a su. 4 ERA and 300 strikeouts

Wouldn’t that be pretty good?

Although I'm still bitter about 2017, game 6 when the Yankees had taken momentum

Any health updates on Jake?
Posted on 3/13/22 at 12:25 pm to Lsuhoohoo
He did wave to me during warm-ups when I screamed he should been a Yank
Posted on 3/13/22 at 12:30 pm to Prominentwon
Nothing recently. Last word was he'd be down thr first couple months of the season.

I always love when pitchers are headed to the dugout before the ball reaches the dirt line
