I just don't see Bregman staying in Houston unless he has a strong desire to make it work (i.e. family) and I'm not sure how strong those ties are.

I don't see Crane making the financial play that others will make.

Switching gears a bit off of Bregman...

Twins are reportedly looking to shed some salary.

What about trading for Carlos Correa to play 3B? He's owed $128 million over the next 4 years.

What would it take? Tucker&Pressly? Maybe add in a farm arm? Would those two do it? (Astros probably eat some of Pressly's salary) What would it take to get Correa and an 8-15 ranked prospect from the Twins farm? (someone like Corey Lewis?).

If they’re gonna trade Correa they’re going to do it for younger cheap players to actually cut salary

If we are going to trade Tucker I want to also do it for younger cheap players

Back to being as desirable as a used tampon, I see.

I get this logic. I lean that way myself. Problem is, I don’t want to waste Alvarez and Altuve hoping for prospects to pan out by the time Altuve and Yordan are expired goods.

Bregman is gone. Tucker is gone this - might as well get someone that helps the club now.

Might as well just keep Tucker for this year if the thinking is short term. It’s highly unlikely you are going to line up with another team trade wise that wants to send a good veteran player on a shorter team deal. Teams trading for Tucker will want to keep win now type players like that

Really wish KC had some MLB ready stud prospects. Seems like they’d be a great matchup for a Tucker trade

Boston (ironically) is who I would be looking at. Very good system of versatile position players and a lot of them are knocking on the door. With only one year of control for Tucker you probably aren’t going to get some massive trade package, Betts didn’t and Soto didn’t. But he should still get you a good return that might make the roster younger and more flexible

That’s the problem.

Tucker’s value is at its peak right now. You either trade him now, or you settle for a comp pick when he turns down the QO.

I am perfectly fine with dealing Tucker. They aren’t going to keep him and they can’t afford to lose another player like this for just a comp pick.

I don’t agree it’s at it’s peak with just one year of control left but they should still get a good return if they deal him now

Schwab is such a fricking hack. I’m all for trading Tucker, but suggesting trading prime Tucker for an aging Correa, with a massive contract, who plays 60% of games is shitty journalism

I think a deal surrounding Josh Jung and Justin Foscue makes some sense here. That said, I can't see the two teams coming together to make a deal.

I’d do something like that in a heartbeat, perhaps throwing in some money on Pressly to add value. Jung could replace Bregman and Foscue could slot in at 1B. But I agree, I don’t see anyway the two make a deal of that magnitude

Ken Rosenthal doing Scott Boras’ work. Pathetic.
