Sir, that is a gold glove third baseman you’re demeaning.

As soon as star outfielder Juan Soto chooses which New York club he wants to take $600 million from in free agency, discussions around Bellinger will gain more traction. Recently, the Yankees, Mariners and Astros have all checked in with the Cubs about a Bellinger trade, sources told 670 The Score.

I'm regarded but what do the wise ones in the DAT think of this trade below proposed in the article?

Astros Get:

Drake Baldwin
Hurston Waldrep
David McCabe
Jeremy Reyes

Braves Get:

Kyle Tucker

Framber for Bellinger straight up?

I think that trade would need at least one major league ready player other than Waldrep.

Throw in Pressly, get one of their top OF. Problem is, they don’t really have anyone that fits that.

This front office will repeat last year and chase winning a crap division when it’s clear we don’t have what it takes to win and we will get nothing for him and he will go elsewhere after an early playoff exit….basically Bregman 2.0

Soto’s contract doesn’t bode well for Kyle Tucker’s future as an Astro. I’m sure he’ll command $400m+ and we all know Crane isn’t dishing out that kind of money

for any small market team trying to be competitive. Combine that with what the Dodgers are doing, and things could get ugly for MLB as far as any kind of competitive balance.

There's a couple of big market owners that are easily persuading the rest to buy into this with profit sharing. The bigger the star, the bigger the crowd at your ballpark.

They will be exponentially raising the salary cap soon. Owners and players will be loving life. Nowhere in this equation is there room for competitive balance. At some point, people will stop showing up, even if they follow, and it's possible things will come back to the mean, at least to something as reasonable as it used to be.

God forbid a team tank on purpose and stockpile draft picks for a run at continued success in the future. But let's do 15 year contracts with deferred money, yada, yada, yada

If any of them really want him, we'll be outspent.

Bregman is 100% gone, Tucker will very very likely get traded, and besides that we will do absolutely nothing good during the off season. Lovely.
