Yea really I won't be upset with a proven MLB starter arm. He can be a stud like Bumgarner or Thor, or can be a good 3/4.
The issue gets more serious if other teams make bigger moves. I feel confident the team as currently constructed can beat anyone else in a 7 game series if it started today

Everything is fluid, of course, but as of now Syndergaard still scheduled to start tonight in Chicago. As @Ken_Rosenthal noted Ervin Santana was pulled from AAA start. But more likely in case starter needed Thurs for Wheeler

I like Bauer more as a pitcher but Bumgarner more in the clubhouse. Tough choice for me, I guess I’ll go Bumgarner
