Singleton has a 111 wrc+ through 36 games this year, sustainable? Most likely no, but as I said the other night, he doesn’t do a lot, but he plays a serviceable 1B and he chips in a couple games a week.

Abreu had an 86 wrc in 141 games last year and a -21 in 21 games this year. Sustainable to stay that low? Not likely, but having an 86 for a full season last doesn’t bode well.

TLDR; send Abreu into the fricking Sun, and while you’re at it, send bagwells advisor status as well

You nerds with your fancy numbers and algorthyms never played the game. Never read the back of a real man's baseball card.

If you can get a guy back who is batting .220 in rookie ball, you do it.

Bagwell has gone down there and giving his eyeball test along with the talking to the hitting instructors. Don't quote me on this but it went something like this:

"We won't worry about his exit velocity, power indicators, etc. We're just looking at if he looks right swinging the bat. Once the hits start coming, we're confident he will stop dropping easy pop-ups and watching throws from short go whizzing by. Remember, Jose did us a favor by taking the demotion. So we owe it to him to see where he is at the MLB level."

“I want exit choppers to second, not exit velocity” said Bagwell

Dana must read the DAT. Abreu now reporting to Sugar Land this weekend instead of meeting the team in Oakland

When 28 year old AAAA starters are blowing 91 past him at the letters, will it change anything?

I understand trying anything to recoup your money on a really shite investment, but this team is starting to resemble a MLB team, and they want to bring back a boat anchor that's not even hitting .200 in an instruction league.

I'm honestly hoping that he sucks in Sugar Land. Singleton is much more serviceable. Not setting the world on fire, but he pretty much gets a hit and a walk every game and hits a homer every now that then. Huge improvement over Abreu.

Meh

Going through some big med changes that are mental health related and it’s just a long, shitty process that may not have any benefit whatsoever. They’re considering doing an inpatient program for a few weeks so it’s easier to monitor things, but I’m not very excited about the thought of doing that as I have done that before and it sucked

Embarrassing to admit, but I guess when nobody on here knows me then who cares

I really appreciate you asking

Ubiquitous ask for a stream to watch the game for those of us without the proper cable package.

Find it funny that Brown was the only one of our starters in this series that didn’t allow a run in first inning

We got your back man. If there's one that's good boosting for mental health it's 2024 Astros baseball with the assholes of the DAT.

—Wow, I had a car like this. I stubbornly kept trying to fix it & finally realized I just needed to dump the thing on somebody, super cheap.
